Any good old fashioned intense exercise will help anybody - any body type lose weight and the Jilian Michaels dvd is good

Is there any other dvds you recommend besides the ones listed on your website? I though some of Jillian Michaels' dvds would be good to try for burning fat. Also, should your body type (i'm an apple) matter when trying to lose weight? I heard that certain exercises help certain body types better. Thanks in advance!

Hi,

Prior to these changes on your website, Turbo Jam (TJ) was listed as one of the suggested workouts. I no longer see it listed here. Was it forgotten, or left out for a purpose? If the latter is the case, could you share your reasons why? I wanted to choose between TJ and kettlenetics.

TJ just seems so much more fun, mainly because the music used is more upbeat. Music in exercise videos are usually boring and that's when I lose interest and get bored with working out.

I recommend you get a "set" of tae-bo DVD's (this is what my mother did) because every set has a beginner or light tae-bo workout

The best way to tone and not build bulky muscles is to Use lighter weights and do about 10-to-15 reps or...

You could use heavier weights and do LOW reps of only 1-to-3 reps but it's best you focus on more reps & lighter weight to tone up first

Hello,

I am 5"4' weighing in at 160 lbs. My problem is time and knowing what to do. I am shaped like a spoon. My problem areas are my hips, lower abs and thighs. Cardio wise
I am okay but I am the type of person that needs to be told what to do and how often it needs to be done. I would love to be a toned 135lbs keeping in mind I have a medium/large bone structure. I can work my arms no problem but I find that most exercises really focus on the upper half instead of the lower half.

Can you offer any tips????

hello adrian. first i want to say thank you for starting this wonderful free site! you are a blessing to many of us looking to lose weight and stay in shape.
i started the j lo workout plan for a bigger bottom, last monday. i strength train on tuesday (upper), and thursday(lower).
ddo you feel it would be okay to add some tae bo on wednesdays and fridays? thank you so much, in advance.

Rosemary,

The best workout is the one you'll stick with so... I would look over each workout plan on this plan and see which one you'll most likely stick with to lose 5 pounds but in my opinion...

A good weight loss workout for you would be the Advanced Walk-jog-run Interval weight loss workout while doing this fast weight loss dietand...

Go here and follow steps 2,3 & 7 for better arms 7 abs
