There is no "best workout" and for your goals...

The best thing to do is to just take action and stay active meaning...

You can...

#1 - do light cardio for 45+ minutes everyday or...

#2 - do intervals 3 times a week with some days of cardio mixed in.

If your goal is never GAIN weight - you should also see NowLoss.com/8

Hey there. 1st of all, great job on the site, really nice of you. okay, im 17, weight 220 pounds or so, and as im starting to study in computers this january for the next 2 years, i wont be moving so much.
i had somewhat of an active job for the past 5 months, made me loose 10 pounds, but i dont wanna gain those 10 pounds again.
do u have any suggestion on what workout (interval or workout+interval) i should do? you have so many youtube videos that looked interesting that i just dont know which one to take :S
thanks in advance, lookin forward to your response

Mike | 12.12.09 - 12:25 am

Greg

You can do it 4x a day (40min total) for 3-4x a week but also make sure you do on a diet here as well for max results

Adrian Bryant | 12.06.09 - 9:12 pm

Hey Adrian

I am 15, 6'1, 218 pounds - a big guy as you can see. I am kind of muscular, but I'm looking to slim down before soccer season, because i've always been a big boy. i was wondering how many times a day i should do this and for how long for maximum results.

thanks.

Greg | 12.06.09 - 7:54 pm

becasue you will maintain and/or build muscle as you lose weight

Adrian Bryant | 11.22.09 - 6:23 pm

hey adrian how are you doing I am a very big dude but i was wondering when i start losing weight and working out naturally like pushups and running also stair climbing will i be muscal as i start loosing weight

dizzybaby | 11.21.09 - 11:54 pm

sarah

10-to-40 mintues at a time

Adrian | 10.01.09 - 3:17 pm

for how many minutes should i do this work out? it seems really promising ...and I guess it ill show the results you say they will !

sarah | 09.30.09 - 10:04 am

Angela

Either way will work but changing up your workout as often as possible will give you maximum weight loss

Adrian Bryant | 09.29.09 - 11:18 pm

Is it just as effective at burning fat if I do the Jumping Jack routine once. The Ski Step routine once and then the push up routine once for each session. Or would it be better to do one routine 3x's twice a day then switch it up daily for maximum weight loss?

Angela | 09.29.09 - 1:11 pm

Eskeleto

Only 10 mintues or 2-to-4 times back-to-back

Adrian Bryant | 09.29.09 - 10:05 am

for how long do i have to do this

Eskeleto | 09.29.09 - 12:01 am

Dizzybaby

Yes but it's best to do your muscle building stuff first and just do the jumping jack workout for 20min straight afterwards without stopping

August 30, 2010 - 10:58

I am similar to Greg only I'm 14, 5'11 and about 185 pounds. I'll follow the same routine you posted for him and post my results. I need to lose about 30 pounds to actually be in the healthy range so is there any ADDITIONAL exercises I need to do? [Push-ups, crunches, sit-ups running in place]

i dont have an answer for that but i can tell you that it burns a lot of calories during and after you finish working out

July 16, 2010 - 12:29

Hi, I did this for the first time today twice just now. i burnt more sweat than i did running on the treadmill for 20 minutes anyways. This can get quite boring so after doing one what over workout can i do immediatly after? could you give me 3 ..I get bored with routines.

I'm a female and I'm 5' 9-10 maxium and weight around 200lbs. I don't look obese but i would like to loose weight in 2 weeks. I'm quite fit but not as fit as I should be thanks.

Hi Adrian,
I haven't done exercise for the past few months and i just started to follow your 12 mins jumping jack on Tue. I did 2 sets straight with a 5 min break. The next day my arms are sore so i rest for 2 days and today i start doing running intervel. However, my lower back (the areas just above the buttock) is a bit painful when i run or jump. I just feel so weird as i don't have pain or sore muscle but only when i jump or run. Do you know what it could be or did i just do too much jumping jack at a time? Thanks.

I have no idea but yes...

it could be sore because you haven't done anything in a while and who knows...

you may stop feeling this nagging soreness after you & your body gets used to working out

January 15, 2010 - 09:38

if i do this about 2-3 times a day , about 3-5 days a week how much can i expect to lose every week and/or month ? i am weighted at about 165 lbs and im 5"4 ,also , im about 2-5% overweight of body mass or something like that , and i hope to see really good results in about 3-5 months , thanks .

I can't estimate but you will lose weight and if I knew your height I might be able to help you more but overall

at your low weight - would expect only 1-2 pounds because or lower weight

It seems as thought my calorie intake is too low, but because Im eating healthier food such as vegetables, fruit, tuna, fish etc which is low calorie foods I cant get to my recommended calorie intake for the day. Im scared thats effecting why I'm not losing the weight. I also eat 5 to 6 times per day. Please help. I walk 60 minutes in the morning and 30 minutes in the evening. No medical problems. You can simply eat more - what is causing you not to eat more?

walking may help at first but you need to increase the intensity or go here to see what changes you can make to lose weight faster
