why is this fast running for 10 seconds better than doing a fast walk for 50 minutes where I can get my pulse from 135 - 150? by the way i have had an implant in my right hip installed nine months ago and I am not sure running would be such a good idea.

Your ten min intervals are great...just one question about this...can you do this just ONE 10 min. a day interval to see results or do you NEED to do twice a day for 10 min??...

You can start off doing that but to keep seeing results - you'll have to either do them longer, more times a day or do another 10/10 interval exercise
