Hello,

I need help. I desperately want to lose weight and my daughter desperately needs to lose as well. K is 13 and weights 271 she's 5'5 and has an insatiable appetite. I'm 5'4, 252. It doesn't bother K that she's severly overweight and is insulin resistant. I really don't want her to have diabetes. I am 5'6 and I weigh 222lbs. I am trying to get to at least 165 in the next 6 months. I just started power walking for 2hours a day on a hilly road. Hi Adrian,
Oz calling in again. I have spent 10months doing 6-8km runs x 5 day/wk. Three boot camps a week and boxing. Due to an accident, I have a broken ankel(double) and a snapped lateral ligament. In a fibro cast from toe to knee ?reconstruction required. At minimum I am in cast for 6-8wks. What can I do for cardio? I can still manage weights just have to monitor the swelling under the cast. Would appreciate your opinion. Michelle.

depending on how overweight you are... you could lose a lot of weight real fast or very little weight but I doubt if you'll actually gain any weight doing what you described

Hi, i have been on a diet for a long time but now i have to stop the diet for a holiday that I have for a month. Its where i have to eat very early in the morning then, after, i fast(no water, food, or anything) until around 8pm, then at 8 i eat anything. Will this make me gain weight? also can I keep my metabolism the same if i exercise when its time to break the fast at 8? use the 90% rule when cheating meaning if you are going to cheat only cheat 10% of the time so...

If you are 5 meals a day (which you should be) then you are eating 35 meals a week meaning for 3-4 meals you can cheat

Ok. My only problem is my parents buy the food so I really have no say on what I eat for dinner. Dinner is stuff like Hamburgers, philly cheesesteak, chicken strips, etc.

There really is no way around unless I just skip dinner. What should I do?

Your plan is pretty solid but a few things...

#1 - since you not overweight - you'll need to do more intense (shorter) workouts other than walking so See NowLoss.com/i

#2 - you can eliminate the crunches and yoga since they won't help you lose weight because like I said... At your weight & height - you need more intense exercise to burn fat

#3 - your diet is fine

#4 - 10-to-20 pounds is doable in 3 months but look at why losing weight for you takes longer

If I start this diet April 3, 2009 and end it on the first day of July(so about 3 months)and will I/can I lose 22 pounds (10kg)? How much weight do you guess I will lose if I didn't do the exercise listed? And, my last question, do you think I'd be getting everything my body needs? Should I take vitamins, eat a protein bar, and/or bump up the calories?

- walking 6 miles on saturday and sunday (I go about 4 mph)
- 1,000 skips on an unweighted jump rope each night
- 20~50 crunches each night
- eating 1000 to 1200 calories of fruits, veggies, lean meats (mainly tuna and chicken), and cheerio cereal (normal)
- very, verrrrry basic yoga & basic stretches everyday
- no junk food, no soda, nothing processed
- only drink water and tea (w/o any sugar, just plain ole' tea, not exactly green though, just tea)

Info/stats:
Age: 15
Weight: 122 pounds
Height: 5'3"
BMI: 21.6
BMR: 1400-ish

NOTES:
* I made this diet so I would eat well, do exercises that I won't hate and not get bored and quit, no no need to menation getting bored with "such a limited selection of food".
* I'm a small framed woman, and as of now I do little to no exercise, so I've heard 1000 calories is fine to consume, I'll bump it up to 1300-1500 calories (I think I need more, help?) once I get into my exercise regiment and keep it at 1000 on non-exercising days.
*I do NOT, repeat, DO NOT want to go into starvation mode, so please tell me if I will be going into it, so I can replan now!
* I know I'm normal weight. I know if I lose 22 pounds I'll be 100 pounds (which isn't really my goal, my goal is 105 to 107 (107 is still normal weight for 5"3' or another goal is when I look good and feel great). I'm aware of what I am doing and will stop if this diet makes me sick in any way, shape or form.

You just need to keep losing weight!

The weight on your upper body is going to be the last weight you lose so don't give up on your current weight loss plan ans stick with it long enough so your upper body fat can melt away also

Hey,

I am a 14 year old guy, I'm 5'7", I weigh ALMOST 170, and I'm sick of it. Just this morning, I watched a video of the comedian Dane Cook describing his first bj, and I know that I can get girls, but I thought why should I be embarrassed about some girl seeing me naked? I want to be excited for these sort of things, so what exersizes should I be doing for a nice body? I would like to get down to 140. Please help.

hey, i'm 15 and around anywhere from 150-160? it changes a lot.. but i want a flat stomach and smaller legs, and i want to be not so wide. how can i lose anywhere from 30-40 pounds in two months?

Hi.

I need some advice on my exercise routine.

I'm 25 and mother to a one year old. I am 5'9.5" (heh) and weigh 56 kg generally. I want to do exercises to develop my pectoral muscles (trying to avoid the famous sag that supposed to follow breast feeding. I'm only feeding my kid once a day now though). My mid-section isn't all that bad but it doesn't have abs either and my butt isn't as round as it used to be.

I found three exercises here that I'm thinking of doing. One is the butt exercise that you're supposed to do on a bed. I like the exercise but how high should this bed be? I feel I'm not high enough when I'm on the bed (as opposed to you on the table in the video). Does it make a difference as far as results are concerned? Also, I do not get how many times we have to do this exercise. It says four times and each time do 15 reps ... excuse my ignorance but does that mean we have to do it 20 times? =S How does this work?

For the pecs I'm doing the exercise where you lift weights (first take them back and then sideways). How many times should I be doing this one?

And all these exercises should be done on alternate days, yeah? Brining it down to 3 -4 times a week.

As for the abs ... I'm just thinking of pulling the muscles in. However, when I pull them ALL the way and keep it that way while going about my daily routine I feel I'm straining my back. Am I doing something wrong?

I am starting a fast today... It is called the Daniel Fast which includes only fruits and vegatables and lots of water. I am fasting for spiritual purposes and not for weight loss... How ever if the Lord decides to bless me with a slim body at the end of it I will not complain at all "Winks" This fast is for 21 days...and we are supposed to have one meal a day... My question for you is what do you think I can expect for my body physically... I am 5 FT and weight 156 my highest ever!
Another question is how to I merge back into "Normal" eating after and mantain the weight loss if any? I heard of a man that lost 20 pounds by just having fruits and veggi's for ten days... I want to be at around 115-124 ... Anyways thank you and may the Lord Bless you!

Since I have PCOS, it is very hard to lose weight. Do you have any suggestions how I can burn more fat? I am 5'5" and weigh 175lbs. I am a moderate exerciser-working out for 5 days a week walking on a treadmill. What are some exercises that I can do to speed weight loss up?

I've been doing your program for about 3 days and I've already loss 3 lbs. I'm so glad I found this site. I want to be able to watch your video's you have on-line here for free on my dvd player. Hello my name is Cherrione,
I had a baby in 11/2008 but i guess i gained 19 pounds i only have a flabby belly and fat around my waist its a little bit, but i cant sweat i work very hard and i also have a bloated stomach any time i eat or drink something it looks like a pregnant i had the bloated stomach even when i was 128 pounds now im 155 pounds. I would like to know what can i do about my bloated belly and side waist,and a little bit of my belly flab.

I'm trying to lose 20lbs over the next 11mos. Which of your workout plans would you reccomend. I have done the jumping jack interval workout. Anything else? Btw I hate exercising lol please help.

Hi Adrian I was taking a look around your wonderful site, and I really want to get started on losing weight immediately.
I'll start off by saying I'm 15 years old, (I make 16 in February) I'm 5'2, and 144 pounds. I don't have access to any type of equipment but I do have a Wii Fit (I JUST took the full body test a minute ago and it said my BMI is 25.31 and my Wii Fit Age is 15, so I guess I'm not that bad! hehe. )
Well since I'm the only one in my family really going on a diet, I won't have too much choice at all about what kind of groceries we get lol but we do always have a nice home cooked meal.
Anyway, I'd like to have a much leaner body but build a lot of muscle on my thighs, hips, and umm..bootay . I'd also like to have a very flat stomach with slightlyyyy visible abs. Toned arms with no bulkiness, and no back fat or rolls lol. I was taking a look at your Jessica Biel and Beyonce plans but I wanted to consult you first to see where I should get started
My body type is slightly like an apple and I'd like to enhance my lower body much more so I could have closer to an hourglass or pear-shaped body .

I'd like it to be much bigger, and I would really like to build muscle on the top of the glute so it sticks out from my back a lot like in the second picture.
I know since I'm young I'm still going to get curves as i get older but I'd just like to see what I can do for now(:

Oh yeah and I should probably mention I have a slight curve in my back like in both pictures.
But yea, lol I think you get the point. I'd also like to say thank you so much for all the help, lol sorry I'm so demanding.
