Hi,
Just wanted to ask. I have a lot of trouble with digestion have had 7 surgeries to remove adhesions in intestines and colon. One resection. I stay very bloated and have trouble losing weight even though I go on protein and slim fast shakes a lot to be able to eat. Also have low thyroid. Lots of stomach pain with adhesions. My question is what do I eat to keep fluid retention down and easy to digest foods that won't cause pain? A lot of this is medical and they are saying I may be adhered and twisted again. I will do anything to avoid surgery yet again. Need good liquid diet that makes me feel good. I have 4 children one special needs. Gotta stay healthy. Don't understand my weight but, did say adhesions swell you out. Need to lose about 20 lbs. but, many foods cause pain. Don't know if you know anything but, thanks none the less.

this is something I really can't help out with since I'm not a doctor but I really think this is something you need to bring up with your doctor

I absolutely love how toned & sculpted Gabrielle Anwar (Fiona from Burn Notice) is. I've read that she does yoga. Could you suggest any exercises (not yoga please ) that would help me achieve something similar to how her arms & legs look? I do work out 4 days a week already. I'm just not seeing the results I would like to see.

Hello, what kinda of meal plans do I need to lose weight? I want to lose 20 pounds. Plus what do I need to be toned. If I eat meatloaf and put veggies with it and brown rice will that be good for me.
I mean I eat fruits for breakfast and lunch. For dinner, I want to enjoy it so I need meat and I don't want to gain weight. I still eat fried chicken because I believe that it's not going over my calorie limit because I only have one fried chicken wing, mash potatoes, and string beans. Since I eat light in the breakfast lunch, can my dinner be fast food mixed with veggies with reasonable portion size? I want to be toned. From day to day,
I feel heavy or light, back and forth. Is that water weight?

Adrian,
I'm a 43 yr old male with basically the same body today that I had in high school. I'm 6'1", 165 lbs, my waist is 31", my chest is 40". I do belong to (and use 3x a week) a gym (Planet Fitness), in addition to biking about 10 to 15 miles each days. I have poor eating habits and know that my calorie intact in well under what it should be. Any suggestions on routines/exercises to help me add muscles mass (and some weight) to my frame?

Hi Adrian,
just read about the bigger butt workout plan, and I was wondering since I am very active and exercising at least 4-6 times a week (Full Body workouts 3x a week, Running 2x a week, Yoga) if the butt plan once a week additionally to the things I usually do still will have the same results? I dont exercise to lose weight, just want to stay in shape.

Thanks
Fina

i dont know

it depends on the person's (yours) ability to recover from workouts

if you see you are not getting the results you want you may want to check your butt workout and/or lay off the other workouts

So should I be doing the intervals or moderate intensity cardio for the permenant approach?

BOTH

do intervals 3-to-4 times a week and easy cardio the other days and here's another tip...

after you finsih your interval workout - immedialtely do another 10-to-30 min cardio workout at a moderate pace

August 10, 2010 - 07:26

Should I be using the fast weight loss diet plan or should i take the slow approach if i want to lose a bit in 2 weeks. And what exactly would be a good weight range for me. I'd like to fit back into my size 10s or at least lose 10 pounds in the 2 weeks I have left before school.

take the slow but permanent appraoch - losing weight before school is not an emergency

August 07, 2010 - 07:28

So what is it should I be using on this website if i want to start lowering my bodyfat percentage?

 by Ayana

any of the workouts here along with a good diet will do that

when people ONLY diet (& mostly do fad diets) that is when they only lose weight instead of mainly fat

August 07, 2010 - 01:39

I was wondering since I'm 5'2 and 164 pounds and 25.9% body fat if that means should i try to lose more weight to get to the normal range of 130 pounds according to weight charts or should I focus more on losing body fat, so that I look healthier? I'm curious because getting down to 130 would take me about an extra 15-20 pounds and that seems to be a much longer journey. Thank you for your reply.

you dont have to LOSE WEIGHT exactly to look better

lowering your body fat % makes you look better so actually you could gain sexy muscle (more weight) while lowering your bodyfat% to look better so for example...

you could possbile lose 10 pounds of fat while gaining some muscle making your body fat % 18% to look much better so to make a long answer short

FOCUS ON LOSING BODYFAT & not WEIGHT exactly b/c

losing weight could be FAT + WATER + MUSCLE

Hey Adrian,

I'm male, 25, and very overweight. I'm not sure exactly how much I weigh, but I know it's well over 300 pounds. Most of the weight is on my butt and stomach, and there is also quite a bit on my sides, thighs, and chest. I received your dvd, and I've been using it every week. I still get around pretty well despite my weight, but I cant do things like jumping jacks and ski steps without putting way too much pressure on my knees and ankles. I've been trying to come up with some alternative movements, but I'm not sure what would be effective. I can really feel the interval method making my body work hard, and I want to make the most of each session. I keep having to stop due to joint pain before I actually feel exhausted. Do you have any advice? Thanks so much for all this information, I didn't know what to do before I found your site.

what about the bike and elliptical workout or the sledghammer workout?

they are all low impact and put less stress on your joints

Have lost 56lb since having a baby through 1400 calorie diet and running. I am now down to 142lbs and measure 33-26-36. My glutes look saggy and not as pert as before, when i do squats lunges etc it seems to just make my legs look more defined and not my butt. I want a slightly bigger, firm, round butt

Hi,

I'm 18, 5'10" and 171 pounds. My measurments are 38-30-38 but I'd like to get down to 35-24.5-35, whatever weight that might be. At the start of summer (around 6 weeks ago) i weighed 175 but lost 4 pounds the first week by changing to a healthier diet of 1400 calories, only drinking water and tea and walking for an hour a day. But after that first week, although I uped the intensity of the excercise every week since then, the weight loss stopped altogether. Family members have said I look smaller but the scale and the measurments haven't changed. I would really like to reach and maintain my goal by mid August although it's fairly soon. I'm in pretty good shape so I wonder if that is why nothing is working for me. What do you suggest? I'm really at a loss and I am willing to put in the hard work in order to reap the results. Also since it is summer and I don't have a job the only real excercise I get is when I do workout for an hour, which includes alternating days with ab strenth training and thigh strength training and doing an hour of cardio 6 days a week.

switch to this advanced plan here

cardio will not work for someone like you who isn't very overweight (or already looks good) and who is also in average-to-above average shape.

Plus - you'll have to be pateint b/c weight loss at your low weight for yoru height will be slower than an OVERweight person

Hi Adrian,
My husband suggested this site for me & he follows many of ur excercises. My problem is my hips. I hv a decen waist and butt but my hips are large. The site has many excercises for butts but i couldn't find excercise just for my hips. Plz can u suggest some excercies?

the exercises here work the hips as well but i think you really want to "reduce the size of your hips" and if that is the case...

you need to lose body fat by using any of the plans here

I decided to start working out and to lose weight a few months ago. I'm not sure how much I lost because I didn't take my weight when I first started. I noticed a big difference in how my clothes were fitting me much better. I finally took my weight about a week ago and it said I was 251 pounds, which was lower than what I expected to be. The last time I weighed myself before then was 4 years ago, and I weighed more then than I do now. I would like to lose more faster and have cut back on food, but still pretty much eat the same thing. Do you know of a way I can get better about this?

Hi Mr.Bryant,
I'm really skinny, and it's my first time working out, do you have any recommendations or restrictions for me?? Or should I just follow the "How to get ripped in 50 days" guideline?

Thanks ,

I can't eat large meals to get high numbers of calories. What is the least I can eat and still lose safely, can not eat meat now. Now I am a forced vegan...Now what?

what is your weight and height?

probably at least 1000-to-1200 calories

Hi, there.

Yea, I'm wondering why is it that I can't seem to see my six-pack well enough, no matter how much I work on it & I know it's there.

I know it's probably due to the presence of belly fat but what I wanna know is, how can a person know when the problem is belly fat, loose skin or just bad posture affecting their abdomen?

I'm on a diet now for the past 4 weeks and I've seen a change in the size of my abdomen but it tends to get back to a bloated size whenever I eat or drink water.

Thanks a lot for your response.

check your bodyfat here first

you need a bodyfat % of less than 10 to see abs so more than likely need to lose more bodyfat

Hello,

I just had a question concerning the emergency diet fruits and veg. quantities. What actually constitutes as two servings of fruits and veg.? Obviously an apple, orange or banana is a serving but what about kiwi, cantalope, cucumber, or broccoli, etc.? Am I basically trying to get about a cup worth or about 75 calories per serving?

As long as you eat at least 2 fruits and/or veggies is the goal but you can eat as many as you like.

see this for more info but yes...

About 100 total calories worth of fruits and veggies will be enough

February 05, 2010 - 09:08

Can you suggest any more protein powders? And is it better to use powders that are 100 calories per serving?
