i am 56 yrs old and 5'5 and was 148. i gave up pepsi and all soda, i only drink water with my regular meals and instead of candy cakes etc i eat an apple or fruit. in one month ihave lost 4 lbs. sure im older but my stomach is shrinking quickly-now that i read that i should drink 7 glasses of ice water i bet i loose more.

That happened to me to. I'm 5'3" weighed 124 going college and got up to 138 and freaked out. In March, I started eating really healthy and drank a ridiculously amount of water so i did not hold on to any water weight. By July I was the smallest I have ever been. I weighed 115 lbs and felt great. Another thing I did so that I did not quit my diet was take the weekends off. Not go crazy off my diet, but have a little bit of dessert or something fattening that I love. These weekends off gave me something to look forward to during the week so I did not venture off my diet. I hope this helps and good luck :)

I dont know why people think it's so hard to lose weight, anything you set your mind to , you should be able to accomplish.Once you lose the first 10 lbs. on your own, that will motivate you to finish.guarantee.and we all know by now how to lose weight..=drink lots of water,exercise,eat smaller and healthier portions.and weight falls off. :)

I am 52, 5'4" and weighing 178 lbs. I have never weighed this much. It seems that lately I am tired in the afternoons and feeling like I am starving to death. I eat high fiber, whole grain cereal with almond milk for breakfast, and usually a peanut butter sandwich (no jam or honey) on whole wheat bread, with a piece of fruit for lunch. I am trying to lose some weight..any amount would be great. I sleep approx 7 hours at night, but do make several bathroom trips. What can I do to lose weight and why would I be this tired in the afternoons? Thank you so much for your advice.
