Hi I have had 3 babies and im in really good shape but my problem area is my thighs I suspect any fat gets directed there . You can do BOTH and/or just hold the position for a certain amount of time but you'll get a much better workout if you hold first and then go up & down for 10-to-15 reps

Hey, so I am a 5'10" 120lb 19 year old girl. My upper body is very petite (I have small boobs haha) but I feel like my lower body isn't proportionate with my upper body. I have large thighs and a pretty big butt that I want to thin out and firm up. I also really want to work on toning up my abs. It's not like I think I need to go on a diet or anything, just want to tone and firm everything up so it matches the top half :] Any suggestions? i weight 153pounds and my height is 5'2 i have been chubby all my life and i hate it! I have a curvy body but the fat is jus all over the place. If you're just focusing on butt development and you want to get it big as fast as possilbe then YES...

You'll want to avoid treadmills on inclines but if you have to do any cardio...

I would limit it to only short-real-intense weight loss intervals for 15-to-30 minutes only 3-to-4 times a week and in your case...

This may be the best butt workout for you

I know that you should rest a day between weight lifting to gain muscle. Is this the same with the butt excercises? Also is walking/running a treadmill with an incline the same as the hill excercise? Last and most important...I want to build my butt fast, will I slow progress if I do butt excercises everyday? How about treadmill with incline everyday? I just have one question. I have office work everyday and my workouts are scheduled according to the advise I got here. Some are scheduled early in the morning since that's the only time I can do them at home. May I ask how much time should I rest before I can take a bath? Is 1-hour enough?

For butt & other leg exercises you may want to think about using 10-to-20 pound dumbbells to see results since your leg muscles are already much stronger than your upper body muscles

i do shoulders , biceps, triceps, with 5 pounds dumbell, i can see the difference now, i added alittle bit of muscles there, its really cool!!! Ive been using the same 5 pounds to do the butt workouts, but havent really seen a difference, im not sure if I should buy a 10 pounds dumbell, or just give it more time!?

My butt is flat in the middle and most of my fullness is at the bottom. From the side my butt looks great in jeans but from the back it looks and is flat. Any rep or set scheme will help you reach your goal - I think it's best to use a mixture to see the best results if you're trying to get bigger muscles - for example...

Let's say you're doing bulgarian squats for a bigger butt - a decent workout for getting bigger butt muscles would be...

1. 3 sets of 3-to-5 reps with moderate-to-heavy weight (resting 4 minutes between sets) followed by...

2. another 2-to-3 sets of 7-to-12 reps with moderate weight (resting 2-to-3 mintues between sets) followed by...

3. 1 set of 12-to-15 reps with light weight

There's really no perfect rep range for everybody (some people respond to high reps for muscle growth while others can only get bigger muscles with low reps/heavy weight) but generally...

Heavier weights and low reps do tend to promote muscle growth and you could probably just as easily get bigger muscles doing 4-to-6 sets of 3-to-5 reps using light heavy-to-heavy weights

I did this before doing walking lunges! My question is for a female who is trying to build muscles on my arms, and butt is it better to use light weight/ high reps, or heavy weight/ fewer reps?

by itself - probably not but... If done first in a butt workout it will help lead to you getting a bigger, rounder butt - however...

Depending on how flat or out of shape your butt is... You could see some positive results doing this exercise!
