Try to balance on 1 leg the whole time you're doing this exercise and it's understandable that you may lose your balance while doing this exercise because... it'll take some getting used to before you can do this exercise while keeping your balance but...

The whole time your doing this exercise - you want to squeeze the butt muscles of the leg you're balancing on to maintain your balance and to get a great butt blasting workout and if you still find this move too hard...

Try the easier 1 legged deadlift that also gives you a great butt, hips, & thighs workout.

when you say terrible - Do you mean you injured your hamstrings and you need some rehab exercises? please confirm whether or not you need rehab exercises or just basic toning before i can help and if it is injured - I may not be able to help you with my background

my hamstrings are in terrible condition. everything going in the opposite direction. what is the best exercise
