I'm a female and trying to trim down my stomach without losing body fat anywhere else. Is it possible to 'spot reduce' belly fat? My stomach is already in pretty good shape...you can definitely see muscle tone, so I'm NOT looking for a six-pack. I still want to look feminine. I would like to have more an hourglass shape through the waist. I don't want to lose my butt or thighs, just trying to 'cinch' in the waist. I'm fairly tall, 5'9", not sure of weight, I just go by pant size.

I'm 13 and weigh about 100 lbs and don't know how to get a six pack. I work out about 13 mins every day by doing some chin ups, sprints and crunches, but nothing seems to be working. I have about 1/2 inch - 1 inch of belly fat or something covering my abs...how do i get rid of it?

Your site is amazing! It has taken me 18 months to lose 80 pounds, but I finally did it! So far I am keeping it off. I work out 6x per week for about 1-2 hours each time, incorporating weights and cardio. I can feel the muscle in my abs, but I have saggy skin around my naval (it frowns!) and sagging skin around my c-section scar. In clothes, my stomach is flat. You can see my ribs and I have a little indentation of a muscle under my rib cage. But from the naval down, it's a problem. Aside from surgery or lipo, how can I tighten that area and get rid of the sagging? Is it even possible? I am in my 40's and my face and upper body are almost too thin. Seems like every pound I lose now doesn't come from the ab area. Is there any hope or should I just be satisfied? Any suggestions will be appreciated.

Hello,
I have been overweight ever since i was a kid. My lowest body fat percentage is 22%. The highest has been around 40% since i was around 175 lbs when i went to college. Through working out i have gotten down to 140-139 lbs.
I really want to get my body fat down to 15% and to have a flat firm abdomen.
I was running four miles at least four to five days a week. i jump roped for thirty minutes the other days. I was watching what i was eating. I do not drink soda or eat a lot of junk food.
with all this my weight loss was painfully slow. It took four months to lose eleven lbs.
My question is,...if i have been overweight my whole life is it really possible for me to get nice flat abs or is my body stuck at some kind of hereditary set point. I feel like i get so little return for the amount of work that i put in. It is very frustrating. I hate my stomach. Sometimes i wish it would fall off.
I have been like this so long that it is hard to picture that all this fat will just go away.
I also think a lot of those before and after pictures of people on the internet are fake.

Hi, I'm 18 and I weigh about 113 pounds. I am only 5'1". I work out doing cardio twice a week, and strength training two days a week, and have been eating well. I just can't seem to get rid of that area of stomach fat above where my jeans end -- nothing seems to get rid of it! What do you suggest?

Rest 1-to-5 minutes between sets
ADRIAN BRYANT | 03.01.09 - 11:24 am
Hi there,
Your advice is to do 1-to-2 of the 10 ab exercises for 4 sets of 8-to-12 reps. How long do I need to rest in between the sets?
Lau | 02.28.09 - 11:38 am
Sara,
Thanks for the advice - Is this perfect body plan something you might be talking about?
Hello,
Well your website is amazing. I'm 18 and I'm skinny, but definitely need to tone up, and lose a bit of belly fat so my abs can show.
I also want to work on my arms and of course, making my breasts larger.
Your website is a bit all over the place, I wanted to suggest you making a weekly calendar of exercises, so that people can just look at the calendar, click on the exercises and do them, because right now it's a bit hard to follow.
Overall, very good advice!!!!

Varez,
To see your abs you simply need to lose more fat and the truth is that you need less than 10-to-15% body fat to see your abs
Hi, firstly I'd like to say I really admire your website!
Secondly, I have a question.
I'm 15, and I dont really have a big belly, just that tiny bit around the abs. I can see the abs if I pull down the fat.
Question is, is this the most accurate exercise for me or should I lose more weight before starting to do this?
Thanks in advance!
