hi mr bryant, I know u probably won't help me because I'm young nd still have plenty of growing to do. However me nd my mother went to the docs a few days ago nd she said I wouldn't grow any more, I'm not sure how she could tell but hey hehe she's the doc. Well getting to the point, I'm 15 135lbs 5'5 and many people tell me my bodys fine but it's just because I have D sized breasts which make everything else look small. I'm very self concious nd would love to a way to make my butt bigger and get leaner althletic looking thighs. The "big" problem is my upper inner thigh (I'm not sure what that's called) I absolutely hate them. Please please please help or at least give me some advice. Thank you soooo much

I am really slim as in 7 stone 4 pounds, I'm not sure of the conversion but I am also quite tall 5"7 so really feel unhappy. I would love love love a curvier body fuller hips thighs and calfs would be a dream. What would you suggest to work the best I currently do your chair exercise for a bigger butt twice a week. Is there anything I should eat before or after to help me gain weight?

Hello,
I'm not trying to look like a movie star or a Hollywood socialite; however, I would like to feel sexy again. I'm sure my husband would appreciate it too.

Although my waist is small, it's my thighs, hips and butt that are my problem areas. I'm also top-heavy. At 5' 9", I'm looking for a routine that can help me get from 210 lbs to at least 160 lbs in 3-4 1/2 months.

I tried the hill sprint and almost called 911 to pick me up 3/4 into it. The incline was a bit too much for me that I ended up sleeping the rest of the day away from pure exhaust.

What intense video(s) of yours would you recommend that I incorporate as a daily workout, and in what order? I'm willing to commit to a workout of 45 mins to an 1 hr a day. This I can do.

Thanks in advance for any advice you can give.

No your main concern should be weight loss first and as you lose weight - your curves will begin to show.

You can do body sculpting exercises to accentuate your curves but you need to lose weight mainly to accomplish your dream of an hourglass

Yes - you can do that but don't overdo it because you don't want to work your butt so much it doesn't grow.

Let me clear your mind with this example...

I'm currently gaining mass in my upper body while losing fat all over and for cardio...

I do mostly lower body stuff like running, etc. but...

I wouldn't do upper body cardio stuff like boxing, arm bikes, etc because I want to limit those things so my upper body muscles can rest more and get bigger so for you what I'm saying is...

YES - you can do fast weight loss workout #1 but limit it and if you're not happy with your butt building goals - limit IT and other lower body cardio/interval activities as well and also what I'm telling you is...

If possible - you may want to focus on more upper body cardio things like boxing, upper arm bikes, tae-bo and...

fast weight loss workout #1 is fine and shouldn't hurt your butt building TOO MUCH anyway because only part of the workout is lower body dominated.

NO

The main thing for bigger muscles is using moderate-to-heavy weights with the current butt exercises you're doing now.

Sideways treasmill walking may tone outer hips but not make them bigger.

Sideways lunges will work as long as you apply the principle of moderate-to-weights

NO - the treadmill won't hurt your progress but it won't help it much either.

Steep (REAL) hills allow you to put more intensity into your sprints which = a better muscle building workout for your butt.

Plus a hill sprint should take you about 10-to-30 seconds of all out sprinting but as you know...

There's other butt workouts you can do if you don't have hills and/or...

try sprints on a regular surface and you may get good results (better than a treadmill)

Hey Adrian back with a question i live in bklyn, ny and there is no hills here so i just have been doing regular sprints on the tradmill i wanted to do it on the incline but i see more than once you advised its not good so my ? is why? does it go against what im trying to acheive or no good for the knees just curious why incline is no good because even before i started your programs i walked on the highest incline so mayb i was hurting myself?? also just to give my workouts a ltl switch up so my body dosent get get to used to routine would it be ok to do a class at the gym for my cardio?

First of all - GOOD JOB - you did it and hopefully other people will see if you just keep asking me ? and taking ACTION like you did will pay off but here's answers to your questions...

1. No BIG difference in deadlifting but I would pick Trapbar deadlift - sumo deadlift or one-legged deadlift since all 3 focus more on hips - the regular deadlift is fine... it just tends to more focus on lower back

2. CORRECT - place feet high on leg press and push from your heels and better yet - if you can... Place your feet on leg press so just your toes are off the leg press plate so you're pushing fully with heels for butt focus and go down deep or until your knees almost ttouch chest

3. the stepper will maintain size and won't make it any bigger or smaller but of course overdoing it may make it smaller and if your butt does get smaller as a result of doing the steppr then more than likely it's fat loss around your hip area

Hello Adrian, First I wanna thank you for all your help with helping me look good in my dress for the wedding that I was in. Now that that it has passed I still wanna continue my workouts . I wanna ask is there a big difference in the results that regular deadlifts give you opposed to the one legdeadlift, and you suggested to me that the seated leg press at my gym would help me to get my hips bigger/wider so my ? is is there a correct form i should use because somebody there told me the higher i place feet on plate the better for but and tha lower i place them better for quads but i want everything bigger so that includes thighs or does it really not matter if i place feet high or low? Last thing does the stepper make your hips and butt smaller ?

Pain in muscles around knee probably isn't a red flag but if you're feeling pain in the Joints - that's a red flag but...

I really can't diagnose unless I'm there and even if i was there I'm not a doctor anyway.

If you keep your knees behind your toes while squatting or if you don't let your knees glide over your toes while squatting then you shouldn't have any pain

Jump squats for 5-to-8 sets

All you really need is the exercises from Biel and/or J-Lo but as for machines...

The leg press going deep until knees almost touch chest will help with getting bigger hips and the hip machines you speak of will only tone and firm without adding not any or very little size

Truthfully..

I don't think you're doing anything wrong and also you need to wait for results but since your wedding is fast approaching...

Let's completely cut out cardio although I don't think the cardio is preventing your bigger butt goals but...

I do think the issue of using heavier weights is the problem so I would still stick with the alternate plan of 8-to-12 reps that I gave you in the last post but...

You have to find some way to add more resistance - How about finding a steeper hill for the J-lo workout?

You can also replace squats from the J-Lo workout with weighted jump squats to create more resistance but I would do 4-to-8 reps with that instead of 3-to-5 or 8-to-12 reps and...

With all the other exercises - you have to find heavier dumbbells, wear a weighted vest or something to give you more resistance but in your case...

You'll best be served by finding steeper hills and doing weighted jump squats instead of regular squats and for jump squats...

Make sure you go down as deep as you can before you jump

DO weight training first See fast weight loss tip #14 for why before cardio but...

If you have time...

Do the butt workout in the morning and then do the cardio (stepper) in the evening and do ONE more cardio workout on another day during the week but if you don't have time for morning & evening workouts...

Do your butt workout before stepper and do another cardio workout later on in the week and keep the intensity of your cardio workouts high and limit them to less than 30 mintues.

I would do the stepper on the same day you do your butt workout but do it 4 hours apart from your butt workout so for example...

Do the butt workout in the mornings and the stepper in the evenings and the other day of the week - do the bike and as for your dummbell dilema...

Try pausing at the bottom of lunges and squats for 3 seconds and make sure you focus on pushing thru your heels - When you say lunges - I hope you're talking about the elevated lunges from the biel workout and...

Since your weight is limited - go ahead and stick with the heaviest you can and don't try using 2 body bars (unless you can do it comfortably) but...

Instead of 3-to-5 reps like I said - do 8-to-12 reps pausing at the bottom of each rep for 3-to-5 seconds and pushing thru heels

So i work out at a gym its a all ladies gym and the heaviest weights that are available is the 20 pounds so i guess im stuck with those im guessing they dont have heavier weights because most chicks arent gonna use i dont knw anyway i think your rght the body bar is only 12 pounds so i was thnkn mayb i could put 2 across my back for the squats?also i usually use the dumbells for lunges not squats because i feel like whn i use really heavy weights with squats i dont do thm correctly i can only use 15 pounds wit my squats unless i use the squat machine and even thn if its to heavy i loss correct form i think. Besides that im doing everything else at this point im gonna take your advice and not run anymore and do another kind of cardio so i can still burn altl fat for stomach how about the stationary bike or thigh stepper? only twice every week and just go from there.

sorry i forgot to ask you the thigh stepper or climber whatever its called will not get in the way of me trying to widen my hips right?

The 20 lb dumbbells and weighted body bar are good at first but what about trying 25-to-35 pound dumbbell squats or how about using an heavier bar?

I don't how much the weighted body bar weighs (they usually weigh less than 20 pounds) but you you may need to use more weight but then again - I don't know...

Maybe the weight you're using now is enough to make you work for 3-to-8 reps and whatever you do...

Stay with heavier weights (if you can) and stick to 3-to-5 reps for the squats in the J-lo workout and -to-5 heavier reps with the elevated lunges in the Biel workout.

It's always good to lose weight (FAT that is) and from your physical stats - you can't look that bad & you probably already look better than the women who are going to be at the wedding! so just go ahead focus on Bigger butt so basically...

I would use heavier weights for only the exercises I mentioned and do only 3-to-5 reps and...

Do the ab workout at NowLoss.com/abs to make your middle look slimmer and...

Since the wedding is almost here - I would go to 1-to-2 times a week with the intervals or NONE at all to allow your butt muscles to rest and grow but if you look at this video here...

You can do cardio/intervals on an arm bike so you can still get cardio and allow you butt to grow

Thanks for the prompt response. ok so the wedding is 3/21/09, and im alternating using 20 pound dumbells and a weighted body bar for my deep squats as shown in video.Also is it good that i lost weight because i really only wantd middle gone so thats prob more so inches than pounds and i lost pounds im confused ..last but not least ive actually started eating more food because as i mentioned earlier i lose weight really fast and i knw this would prob happn once it got closer to wedding and i stopped eating late and no sweets.Another thing i wantd to mention was i do elevated lunges because the bulgarian squats hurt whn toes bend on chair behind me had foot surgery and had 3 broke toes and lunges feet stay flat so its easier. But again i wanna be thick not fat and im shrinking . look forward to hearing from you.

#2 - please tell me when the wedding is.

#3 - I would lay off or not worry about the butt workouts until you reach your weight loss or come real close to your goal.

#4 - If you are real close to your goal or at your weight goal - go for the BIG BUTT NOW but this time...

#5 - Also follow the diet plan for a bigger butt that's on the J-lo workout page to get a bigger "muscular butt"

Im writing to you AGAIN...because I seem to be faced with yet another issue on my quest to get a bigger lower body it seems that im actually losing weight , i know before i said i wantd to be smaller upperbody and bigger lowerbody but im just smaller allover , also i knw u said to focus on one goal at a time but the only thing diff i did is cut out sweets .No real diet because i loose weight really fast. so basicly my ? is can u tell me if anything what am i doing wrong i do alternate weeks of jlo % jessica like u said with the heaviest weights i can stand.last week i told u my weight was 133.6 now im down to 129.7 ... Any suggestions please?

You have to decide what's more important for looking what YOU think is your best in your dress so...

Is losing your gut (and I think you're the only one who notices "a gut"!) or getting a bigger butt more important?

Whatever you choose - focus on that OR...

Let's say for example the wedding is 10 weeks away...

You can spend 5 weeks losing 5-to-10 pounds and then spend the last 5 weeks getting a bigger butt and as always...

Morning Adrian, ok so i checked my body fat % and my body fat is 18-33%, fat weight is 24.4pounds and my lean weight is 114.6 pounds last but not least my regular weight is 133.6.... so with all that being said what should i do? Run or not if not what kind of cardio should i do because i need something to help get rid of this gut of mine because it looks terrible in my dress and i cant be the only pudgy one in the wedding party.

oh there was something else i wanted to say i dont knw if this is going to sound crazy but i actually would like to weigh more prob it would be muscle weight since i dont wanna be fat just thick on the bottom so is that even possible to lose fat around mid section and still gain good weightin muscle? hope i didnt loose you on that one. so like i weigh 133 but wanna be like 140-145 . ps im 5/3.

#1 - running 2-to-3 times a week won't HURT your goals but make sure you limit them to short 20-to-30 minute but higher intensity intervals so for example... If you ran on a treadmill... You would run at high speed for less than 30 seconds and then walk or stand still (and rest) for 45-to-90 seconds but think about this...

#2 - I forgot how much you weigh so DO you need to lose more fat to bring out the butt curves you already have? If so focus more on fat loss but...

If your body fat % is 14-to-20% - go here to check body fat % then you might as well forget about running and just focus on bigger butt exercises.

#3- do regular sprints on flat surface and no treadmill

Just alternate and do the J-Lo workout one week and then the Jessica Biel workout the next week and you only need to do both workouts once a week

Hi, Adrian i just saw u have a new section how to get a butt like kim kardashian and i just wanna knw what your thoughts on if i do the jlo workout on monday and thn jessica beil on thursday , or should i do the same workout both days thn the next week switch to the other workout for both days on my quest to get a bigger but and wider hips asap.
