How to firm up your flabby arms
Stop your arms from jiggling when you wave at people

I want you to look at the video below of a very common exercise most people use to work the back of their arms (triceps)

Notice in the video below how my elbow is fixed at a 90 degree angle at all times.  Most people let their elbow dip and the more your elbow dips the less work your flabby arms get.

And one last thing before you play the video... ONLY MOVE YOUR ELBOW JOINT. Keep your shoulders and wrist joints locked in place.  The more your shoulders and wrist move the less work your flabby arms get.

I am fairly thin person. weigh 115. I run 3 times a week but just these past few years I have noticed my arms are flabby. I am wondering if I work my arms out every day, is that okf and is it helpful and when can I expect to see results?

My arms have fat deposits that have sectioned off its not just one fat arm its more like rows or sections. How do I get rid of the excess fat or atleast tone them up?

it depends on how overweight you are but to lose fat = diet and exercise.

you can tone them up with what is on this page but you wont see the results until you lose fat

I'm a 62 year old female 5ft 7and 1/2. I have lost 35 pounds on weight watchers since January. I went from 186 to 150. I feel great but my arms now look like an eighty year old with all the wrinkles. What happened? did I lose to much to fast or is it because of my age? Is there anything I can do about this? Even my five year old grandson said I looked old and mushy. After all the hard work of losing the weight I am very embarrassed
about my looks.

the toning exercises on this page here will help out with that but if you primarily lost your weight with diet then that's why your arms are looking wrinklny as you lose weight

Hello and GOD bless!
I wanted to know what is the best diet plan for me? Im 27, Weigh 284, 5"9. As I start to lose weight, What can I do about ridding the flab in my arms, legs and tummy? Should I lift weights the same time as burning fat?

your arms are flabby because you are overweight and as you lose weight the flabbiness will go away and doing the exercise on this page will help firm them up making them look better but the main thing you need to do is lose weight first

hi my name is maurice, and I've been on my diet for 8 wks.I've lost 41pds, I'm currently 178 pds..I'm thinkin I should get down to about 160ish but I was tryin to figure out when I should start exercising.should I wait until I reach my goal then start or should I start now..as of right now all I do is run alot, but I don't want to be flabby when I reach my goal..i really want a six pack, ripped biceps, and just to be very ripped all over..I've heard some people tell me to start now, and others have said to not change what I'm doin yet because I'm still losin 4 to5pds a week..i would appreciate all input on this topic...

how do you now it's muscle ? and...

how are you eating - are you eating the right foods and the right # of calories?

walking is good for burning of fat , but you could try jogging , although most people get worn out very easily , you need to push yourself , take a ipod or something along with you and listen to music , this can help keep a steady pace and keep you going . Also try swinging your arms whilst walking , this will burn more calories . Another thing to do is not go on the cabbage diet or anything just eat the right amount , and the right food remeber to keep a balanced diet and you will be thinner before you know it .x

walk by swining your arms, walk fast and eat things that doesnt have that much cholesterol. Drinking milk... can be involved with thickness of your body. milk has alot of fat... D: eating too much meat would be a problem too.

Hi,
I'm 27 5'11 and weigh around 208lbs. I have recently hired a trainer and have had many in the past as well. Other workouts include pilates and gyrotonics. I have made an appointment to have liposuction done on my upper arms but I am concerned about one thing, the elasticity in the skin. I am worried that once I have the fat taken out the skin won't return to where it needs to be. I do not want an arm lift because of scaring of course. I do want to make the right decision on this. I have never had nice toned arms and feel alot of this is due to genes as well as poor diet throughout the years. I have recently started eating well more protein of course lower carbs throughout each day. What do you suggest? I hate my arms and I never wear sleeveless tops outside I do feel that it effects my life greatly. I have also considered something else and would like your advice on this. I know that during the healing process after lipo you need to wear a compression garment is it possible to not do the surgery but workout and eat right and still wear a compression garment for a few hours each day or at night while sleeping to help the skin return while losing weight. Do you think that can insure no loose skin?

the main thing you need to do is simply lose weight and do it the right way!

dont worry about lipo or diet tricks - just make it a point to work your A@@ off for 90 days and you wont have to worry about any of that stuff and please...

dont use genetics or bad luck as an excuse.

just go here and give it your all and if you need help with that - i will, of course be here to help you

Hi Adrian,

I've been doing this exercise for say 10reps per set. And 2 sets for each workout. Basically I've been doing this probably for 3-4 times a week.

Apparently, besides my arms getting more toned up, I noticed that there seems to be a bulk up in terms of the size of my arms.
I workout with a 1kg dumbbell each time.

Am I doing it wrongly? Or am I doing far too many times in a week?
Please advise, thnks!

TRUE

nothing is wrong with what you're doing but i guess your goal is to get slimmer arms - RIGHT?

to make your arms look slimmer you need to lose overall bodyfat with one of the plans here and all these arm exercises will do is...

they will make your arms look better by adding more muscle but if you have flab on your arms and try to tone them up without losing weight at the same time you will only make your arms look bigger as you build sexier muscle under the ugly fat

I am 30 pounds overweight and really want to get rid of most of it by the middle of August. I have looked at many diet plans and excercise plans, problem is...they give me too many decisions to do then I get overwhelmed. I am not very good at knowing what "actual" foods to eat. My problem areas for excercise are no waistline whatsoever, I definetly have the mushroom top thing down pat... Also the flabby arms and armpit fat are not very attractive either. I need a straight forward eating and workout plan that I can follow easily so as not to be discouraged by trying to "decide" what I need to do.

Hello,

I just found your site and I'm hoping you can help me. I am in my late 30's and during the birth of my first child, I tore the muscles in my stomach (doctors call it hernia) The hernia is not causing me pain at this time but leaves a hollow looking space in center of stomach and I don't have any muscle tone there at all anymore. I used to have a very tight, flat stomach. I'm wondering if I should bother with any exercises to try to flatten that area? I have so far lost 18 lbs as I gained a bunch over the years due to not enough exercise and anit-depressants. I have been off the anti dep. for about a year and I'm feel good that I've started losing weight. My other concern is my calves which look large from the back, the front of my leg looks normal but the back is terrible! Can you suggest something to try to make them look smaller in additon to my losing more weight? I now weight about 120 lbs. and I'm trying to get to 100-110 lbs. My height is 5' 2". I also have been trying to tone the backs of my arms and I love your video showing me what to do! I think I've been doing them wrong and I've been using an 8lb. weight for each arm but I"m noticing I'm building up the bicep muscle and I didn't want that. Thank you in advance for any help you can provide!
