You just give up and punish yourself for not doing everyhting 110% RIGHT!

hello Mr. Bryant,
I'm very new to your site and I'm loving what I read so far. But I have a question, and I'm truely hoping your suggestions will work for me. Ok, I'm 27,5'4, and weigh 228 FAT pounds!I have absolutely no motivation, back in 2005 I was a sexy 145! I don't know what happened to me? I think it could have something to do with my living arrangements and the struggles in finances, but everytime I start a weightloss goal I fail! And I punish myself but not in a way that'll benefit me. My hours at work are from 3pm-11, I don't get home from work until about 12am. When I'm at work, I'm constantly snacking, and I do security which consist of me sitting all day long 5 days a week/8hrs a day! (I HATE IT!) And then when I get home I still want to eat! So I may or may not, but getting home that late I don't go to sleep until 3 to 5 am! I'm not getting enough sleep,I'll wake up at 7,8,9,or 10am, which is never enough for me!I'm always tired when I go to work, I know I really need help. I would love to feel sexy again! And I know I'm a very attractive young lady,I don't look (to others) like I weigh as much as I do. But I can definately feel the difference, I thought about hiring a personal trainer, but that's all it ever was , A THOUGHT! I in no way can afford 1, nor can I afford to pay for any of those monthly plans, so please.....drop all your knowledge on me! I really really really need some help! If you have any idea of how I can get on the "Biggest Loser Club" the actual show! that'll be great!I LOL, but I'm so serious!

I'm 5'7" and weigh 145(on a good day). I'm a student and I have long exhausting days of classes and studying. I do occasionally low-intense workouts but I lack the motivation for something intense. I am also a horrible eater. My entire life I have been self conscious about my weight. I have to go to my best friends wedding in 3 weeks and I can't fit in the dress she ordered. I need to lose about 15 pounds. My problem areas are my stomach, butt, and thighs. I would love to be confident for the wedding and being the "old" single maid, I need to look good. How can I achieve this goal?

you're worry too much about stuff that probably wont have any or very little effect in regards to you getting down to 115

Focus on eating quality foods (see NowLoss.com/199) and more importantly...

focus on eating the right amount of calories to lose weight + working out here

Hey Adrian,
User of your site for a while now, lost 15 pounds and kept it off. I'm 5'3'' and at 132 now. My goal is 115, but the thing that has always stopped me from going under 130 is a diet plan. I'm not sure how much dairy to use, if any, if I should include carbs, etc. Basically I don't want to touch any foods for 2 weeks that are not fat burning. If you could throw out some suggestions that would be awesome, thank you so much!

So, my situation is, I would very much like to drop 30 pounds in the next 30 days if possible, or as close to it as I can get. In precisely 30 days my fiancee will be coming home from Iraq and I haven't seen him since September, since the last time I saw him I underwent some depression and laziness throughout events and now I'm about 160, which wouldn't be too bad, but I'm only 5'4. I've gained a lot of weight in the last few months, just from being less active. (I moved away from the city where I walked everywhere)

I am 14, nearly 15 i'm not confident about wearing a bikini around people. I have stubborn fat on my stomach, arms, butt, and legs. First I'd like to say I think your great for doing this website and being so faithful to it. It's amazing.

About 9 yrs ago i wieghed 270, and lost 80lbs doing low carb. I yoyo'd btw 235 and 170 off an on over the years. About 4 yrs ago i decided i would never wiegh over 200 again. Lately i changed to a diet like wieght watchers. BOOM, i'm over 200. Infact i wiegh about 205 My arms are HUGE and most of my wieght is in my tummy. I cant wear anything so i stay in my sweat pants and tshirts. I'm very depressed. I have osteo arthritis in my hips, knees, elbows, neck and shoulders. I want to work out but not sure where to start. i thought about wii fit. Any special advise you can give me would be awsome. I'm 44 yrs old, a pediatric nurse with a strenous job, 5'7 and like i said 205. We also eat out to much, but working nights, finding time to cook when im so tired is often difficult. I have to get some of this wt off my tummy and arms! HELP!

I am trying to lose at least another 30-40lbs! I have recently lost 20lbs and my biggest issue is that i am not a big food lover so I used to eat once a day which slowed my metabolism down i am 5'7 and currently weighing 170! i have changed my diet and now eating 4-5x's a day but it's the same thing everyday because I don't like a variety of food! I also run-walk 4-5x's a week and it seems that I have plateaued I can only manage about 500-600 calories a day. Any input you could give me would be greatly appreciated! Thanks

I am a 28 year old bust work at home mom. I am also a student.. I have been strugling with my weight for years.. I do not excercise right now, but just joined the gym. I do not eat a lot, but when i do i seem to gorge quickly unhealtyh quick fix meals or eat out a lot.. I have most energy in early am or at night.. I am 5 ft and i weigh 154 lbs! I do not look huge but i feel unhealthy. My back hurts me in the mornings and I just want to loose 40-50 lbs so bad, tone up and get healthy.. I started to lose weight last summer, 30 lbs. Then I gained it all back and more.

I'm depressed and I'm scared. The doctor told me flat out today 'You are going to die if you don't get a grip on this'.

I need high protein, I'm hypoglycemic. I am an emotional eater. I don't like counting calories it makes me really obsessive. What I can do is write down a menu and follow it but i don't know what to eat.

Anyway, I did want to share-- that yes I will try the tips and advice you give-- but my initial motivation was that I was overweight and another female, to say the least was jealous of me and insinuated and started rumors and spread a lie about me-based off her own insecurities. I thought-- why me-- I'm overweight, pretty much just plain fat and she was beautiful and not as overweight as I was. I was really shocked and very hurt by the rumor-- I cried for 2 days.. and when I think about it I still tear up.. all because of her insecurities and jealousy. she doesn't know that I know what she said about me so I have not confronted her, and my friends advised me not to either. I felt completely defenseless and dumbfounded. I couldn't understand why this woman would be that jealous and insecure around me. My friends pointed out to me that no matter what a person weighs or looks like people will be haters and jealous-- and then I thought-- well if they are going to be jealous of an fat woman 10 years older than them-- I should give them a real reason to be jealous. So here I am, I have already lost 25lbs, but now that I've found you I'm excited to lose the next 20 more, then the last 10-20!

Hi, I'm Seventeen, 5'8" and severely overweight.
My goal weight is 125.
I put together a schedule and what I'm trying to do, as to get to my goal weight.
Is to try and lose 20 pounds or more, if possible, a month, for 10 months.
(or if you have an easier/faster way to get down to 125)

I really don't want it to take up a whole year on trying to get thin.
That's why I'm hoping there's a lot faster way.

I've planned and started so many diet's but they've all failed and I just can't seem to keep them going.

I'm definitely going to need a lot of help with this.


So here's my set up that I'll be starting in about a week:

Wake up: 9:30am.
30 min. Work out.
Breakfast: 10:00am.
1 hour and 30 min. Work out.
Lunch: 1:00pm
Second lunch/Snack: 5:00pm
Dinner: 7:30pm
Bed: 10:30pm/11:00pm

I also know to drink lots of water.
No soda.
Eat mostly vegetables.
No sugar.
No Fried/Baked foods.
No Fast-Food.
Not butter or salt.
Lots of Fruit.
Yogurt.
Granola.
Nuts.
Salads.

I just wanted to know if there's any other tips or things I should know or do before I go ahead and start this.

I've been very over-weight for most of my life now, and I'm just sick and tired of it now.

I really want to take some sort of diet pill, because I'm definitely going to need some sort of help with this.
I really can't do it all on my own, so if you know of any good diet pills, that would be great.

I'm 22 years old and I weigh 133lbs around 9 and a half stone. I'm 5'3" my lowest weight was 6 stone, when I was 15. I did develop anorexia and bulimia and because of my strange once eating habits, I did put on 2 stone. What I would like to ask you is, how fast could I lose 49lb in? I looked through the articles, and most of the tips are things I already do or have done. The one thing that did hit a note was the stress and sleep... I know I don't get all 6 hours of sleep every night. I'm a night person and usually stay up late because I can't get myself to sleep. My body may be exhausted, but my mind is always going a mile a minute and won't let me rest, and I know a lot of it is from stress. I don't know of too many stress-relieving activities though, I've tried candles and baths, and I don't have the money to get massages (though I do take advantage of it when I have the extra cash) Do you know of any other stress busters?

You definitely need to find a workout you can do that doesn't worsen the conditions you have and just as a precaution...

Also look at why you can't lose weight and...

I wish I could help you out better workout wise but let me ask you this...

Do your conditions get worse with the long durations of the workout? if so...

I was overweight growing up until my senior year in high school, where I struggled with anorexia and wound up losing 20 lbs. I was able to keep that weight off (healthily!) until I got pregnant with my son. I gained around 80 or 90 lbs during the pregnancy (a hereditary problem) and so far I'm down to 195 lbs, but I would love to get down to 170 or less by the time my husband gets home from deployment in a little over 3 months.

The problem is, workouts are a nightmare for me. I have bad asthma AND the lowest vertebrae in my lumbar spine is dislocated (I actually have my MRI tomorrow...) I've been dieting for 2 1/2 months now, and chocolate isn't even allowed in my house unless it's in the form of an energy bar, which is still occasional. I also have to watch the amounts I'm eating, because, well... once you have an eating disorder, it's always in the back of your mind. So I have to be extremely careful not to fall back into that. I do what I can exercise-wise, but the dance DVDs I've bought are a killer on my back and my exercise ball can be too. I get a lot of upper-body workout from lifting my son (he's 9 months old and can't walk yet) so I look great around my collarbone and shoulders, even though my arms are still flabby. I'm using a cream made by Avon to help with the stretch marks and cellulite (it's called Super Shape, and I HIGHLY recommend it to everyone) I've also been using two different diet pills, alternating 4 weeks for Hydroxy Lean and 2 weeks for UltraSlim XS.

So it's not that I don't try to lose the weight and look better, but between my health problems and my half-dead metabolism, the weight doesn't want to budge. Any suggestions?

Hi,

My husband and I have gained 15 pounds each in the last year. We eat twice a day (don't like breakfast) and caffeine is our best friend. We joined a gym about two months ago and go about 5 times a week. We started with 30 minutes of cardio and have now up the time to 45-60 minutes, we then do the ab machines and switch on upper body and lower body workouts. I don't know what else to do. His arms look better and my upper ab section is getting stronger...but we can't seem to lose the pooch or drop the weight. Any help you can give or suggest will be greatly appreciated.

I have been reviewing the site and i must say I have found myself disagreeing with a couple things, but mainly the "change your attitude step" as a psych major i have learned that what we call "all-or-nothing" statements are not the way to go. Statements of the sort can potentially lead to psychiatric problems. One should NOT be saying "I have to lose weight or else my wife will leave me" (not to mention if 25lbs is a detriment to your relationship one should consider a new relationship". These statements should be replaced with positive self talk. With all that being said I am now wondering how accurate the rest of the website really is... perhas this is just not the site for me

I am SO glad and thankful that I stumbled upon your website, which is very motivational (not to mention these tips are FREE!), which indicates that you truly want to help people lose weight and are not just taking their money.

My situation is somewhat unique and I am desperate to get out of it. I am currently 38 yrs old, 5' 7" and weigh 192 lbs. These are the worst moments of my life. Ever since I was a child, I was the 'ugly duckling' because I was a skinny child growing up on an island in the Caribbean where plump children were considered beautiful. I would have vitamins to gain weight which were given to me and extra food, and never gained an ounce. When I was 21 and came to this country, last time I remembered I was 5' 7", weighing 130 lbs...but became homesick, and I do believe it must be the food here, so over the years I've ballooned to this horrible pear shape and cellulite I never had, never wanted it, and I don't want it anymore.

To top it off, I've lived in misery for the last 18 yrs since I've been here, and that adds to my frustration. Now I feel ugly again because in this country, people are skinny...

My commute is across two ststes to New York City to work so I have to get up at 4AM to get the train and spend 4 hrs on a trip to a job I despise just to get the bills paid. Another 8 hours sitting on a desk, then it is back to the train again another 4 hrs to get home, cook, eat, take a shower and then go to sleep...This is no way to live, but I have been willing to stand in my ground and make my weight loss goal work no matter what. I have done some exercises while sitting while at the same time prevent others from looking at me like I'm nuts, and sometimes I fast, and some others I have to look carefully what I eat....it's too much. Do not know how in the world am I going to fit a morning AND afernoon schedule without exerting myself, it is bad enough I do not get enough sleep during work week...

Maybe I should go to the Bahamas and dissappear and then I would have plenty of time to work out and plenty of fruit trees to eat. I do not mean to sound sarcastic, but there are people out there who are just too busy or overwhelmed, it is not just what they eat because I have not gone beyond 192 lbs and have kept this weight for more than 5 yrs now to prevent myself from balooning any further.

Any additional advise would be greatly appreciated.

Well I'm wondering what I should do? I'm 6'3" and weight 236 pounds.

My weight has always been a struggle til I joined the Marines. I went to Boot Camp at 240 pounds and graduated weighing 185 pounds.

I was happy to be that weight except I coudnt tighten up the skin from where the fat used to be.

In my 4 year career I gained weight and stayed at 200 pounds the whole time. My max weight is like 224 pounds according to the weight chart I think.

I've been out of the Corps for almost 2 years now and weight 239 pounds.

How can I get back to 185 pounds again fast without gaining it back this time?

In the Marines I was excersising all the time and was always with in the weight standards and got high PT scores but could still never get back to 185 pounds.

What do you reccomend?

I think it’s counter productive to punish yourself if you don't lose as much weight as you planned. This sets of a chain of negative thinking and in turn low self-esteem and feelings of worthlessness. If you planned to lose 10 pounds and only lost 8 then you should feel good that 8 pounds have gone forever and congratulate yourself! Be inspired by your own success and it will make you want to carry on and do better for your next goal. Punishing yourself will only lead to you giving up and feeling a failure. For weight loss - you just need to watch your calorie intake and exercise more but you do need about a minimal of .75-1.25 grams of protein per pound of bodyweight to lose weight so you can have a balanced diet and...

For building muscle - your trainer is right but the protein issue for building muscle varies - for example...

I believe you only need about 1-to-1.5 grams of protein per pound of bodyweight to build muscle but...

Eating protein double of your weight or 2 grams per pound of bodyweight in my opinion is only needed if your exercise routine or daily activities are very intense so...

If you're a professional athlete then double protein may be neccessary but if you're just a regualar person whose trying to lose weight with NOT so intense daily workouts then a minimal amount of protein like .75-to-1.25 grams per pound is all you need.

What's your goals? lose weight or tone up?

As far as toning up or body sculpting exercises go... You should be able to do most of the upper body exercises here by modifying them just a little bit and you always contact me if you need help doing them but...

As far as cardio goes for fat burning... the best thing you can do is get an upper body ergometer like this one here and I know the price is kind of steep but this is what I use and you can shop around for a much cheaper one.

From what you just told me - it seems to me you're already lean but you need to lost that last bit of fat to make your abs your show so just keep staying active like you already are plus...

My first suggestion is to explain your goals to your parents and show them the plan I gave you and see if they'll stop making you eat foods that make you gain belly fat and if that doesn't work...

ask them if you can eat smaller portions and if that doesn't work...

You can't really target a spot for weight loss but you can target certain areas of your body with body sculpting exercises to firm them up to make them LOOK slimmer

In your case - you can probably do any exercise and not gain TOO much muscle mass because you'll probably be a diet that prevents you from gaining too much muscle mass but basically...

If you do weight loss intervals or tae-bo - you should be safe from gaining bulky muscles

The starving idea may work BUT... it'll backfire because not only will it slow down your metabolism - you'll also gain back all the weight you lost and it'll be harder for you to lose weight again even if you starved yourself again because your metabolism will be slower - Read why starving yourself doesn't work for long term weight loss

DO NOT STARVE Yourself to lose weight and do this weight loss plan here that I desgined for leaner people like you: and by the way... Only expect to lose 1-to-2 pounds a week or less at your low bodyweight

hi. i have a question about weight loss. the thing is that im not that fat. im 5ft 2 inches and i weigh about 50kg/110lbs. i know thats not a lot but the thing is that my upper body doesn't naturally store that much fat but the lower parts like my bottom, thaighs and legs store masses of fat. i really hate that because it makes me look improportional.
i only want to loose about 15 pounds, but i want the weight to come off of my legs, nowhere else. how can i make sure this happens? also, how do i excersice without gaining bulky muscle mass? it would make me look bigger and manly and i wouldnt want that.
one last question...because i only want to loose 10-15lbs, is it ok for me to starve and eat a very low calorie diet for about one week only, while doing 20 mins of running exercise day? thenafter ive lost 15 pounds i could gradually go back to a balanced diet with only about 20 mins of walking a day to maintain my weight. do you think that could work?
please help.

hey mr.brynt. im 14 and ive been despretly trieng to get a 6 pac.. im eating salads everyday and i stoped drinking coke for a few weeks now for the 6 pac. i have a small tummy. i run sometimes 30 min 3 times a week. and im doing this at night: 50 normal crunches and another 50. then i put my legs up as high as possible for 5 seconds and i do a few more times.. and then i do 10-20 pushups fullway down and last i do 10 pullups.. please i need help.. remember that i have a small belly.. not a very big one..and i practice breathing in and out while watching my self through the mirror putting my stomach in and out.. thanks alot

I got one for you. I have been in the united states army for two years now, We do some pretty intense pt every morning. Being Infantry we train up pretty hard, but my question is sir, is there a point where it gets harder to lose weght vs. the pounds kinda falling off at first, because thats what im seeing. at first i joined i lost about 65 pounds weighing in at 285 and now im down to 220 some weeks im 225 227 but around that area, my pt hasnt stopped my diet is the same, i run every morning with push ups, sit ups, and pull ups maybe some dips every other day, some days we cross fit, but it seems like the weight is staying, im feeling better and stronger but not the results im happy to sustain yet, im 23 years old im 6ft 2in. let me know how i can get to be aroung 195. Can your workout and weight loss plans work if you have been diagnosed with insulin resistance and also, I have had a tendon in my foot almost severed recently so am finding it difficult to walk and have to take some prescibed medications to help with pain. I feel addicted to food and have pain in my back from my overly large breasts. Help!

i'm 25 years old. 5'2'' but do NOT have a petite bone structure. i've got plenty of muscle still from ballet and playing tennis as a teenager. i gained a ton of weight in the winter and ballooned to about 147 lbs. i've lost about 21 since January, but I think I've gotten stuck. i need some pointers on non-weight training that can tighten my muscles back up while burning fat. i don't want to get bulky.

Your exercise plan is okay - just increase the intensity speed up treadmill and/or add a little time to your workouts to progressively keep losing weight and...

At your weight - the 70 pounds in 2 months may not be possible although if you were still 350 pounds then 70 pounds in 2 months is more of a realistic possibility.

Hey there. On May 14th after dr appt. My dr told me to start diet and exercise everyday. No starches, red meat. Drink water only and walk 3 miles everyday. I started right then. I work out at gym everyday in the evening.It takes me 14-20 mins for a mile on treadmill at 3.5 speed. 1 mile in 12 mins on bicycle at 6 levels. 1 mile 20 mins at level 2 on elliptical climber I try to eat under 1200 calorie a day. I dont eat 3 meals a day. Mostly soft and liquid diet. I had gastric bypass surgery in 2004. Went from 350 lbs to 189lbs. Gained to 218lbs after had son in NOV. Went on vacation and two funerals in same month of April. Gained to 225lbs. Was in hospital for 4 days with stomach ulcer. Got out on May 25th. Already lost some weight. Down to 213. This force me to lose weight. I am engaged . No wedding date yet. I am scared and want to lose weight for my health. Wants to lose about 60 or 70 lbs. I am a pretty NATIVE AMERICAN INDIAN. How many total calories are you eating everyday and are you trying to lose weight fast for an upcoming event like a wedding or something?

How mush total weight and in how long are you trying to lose it all?

How long does it take you to do 1 MILE WALKING, 1 MILE BICYCLE, 1 MILE EPLICITAL CLIMBER and on a scale of 1-to-10 - how hard is that for you?

You can stop doing the sauna as it has no effect on long term weight loss

Answer those questions and I can tell you if you're overdoing it or not

Hey Adrian, I have been trying to lose wieght for the longest!! The main problem I jhave is consistency and finding a proper wieght loss plan. Finding your website has been very helpful! I came across your "lose 20 ponds in 3-4 wks" orogram, ans I was wondering if it was possible for me to lose about 30 ponds in 6 weeks.....I have a reunion! Of course I want to stick to a permanent plan too, but that's my main goal right noe. Is it achievable? I just recently purchased a hip-hop abs DVD, and I do some of your fat-burning exercises. Also consider this... if you've been doing the same workout for over 8 weeks then it's time for you to switch to a differnet workout because your body is probably used to the workout you're doing now and...

You can wear the suits if it makes you feel but as far as weight loss goes - sweating a lot does help you lose water weight but that's only temporary weight loss.

The only concerns I have is for you not to wear those suits in HOT weather and to also keep a bottle of water nearby to not get dehydrated

When i work out, i get extremely motivated,especially when i have someone to work out with me. however my question is, when i do work-out i like to wear sweats and sauna suit do you think thats a good idea? when i sweat i feel a sense of accomplishment.

Here's what I think - In reality YES but...

It's only 43 calories total and the stuff you're taking helps you burn off more than that so...

NO - I wouldn't worry about counting them as "calories" unless you really want to.

I'm taking CLA softgels, the one yiou promote here, Tonalin CLA and they're 10 calories each. I also switched to a fat burner that's 5 calories for every 4 caps. I also take a hoodia supplement that's 28 calories. This may sound stupid but should account this supplements against my daily caloric intake?

I lost 2 pounds yesterday and I gained them back today. I seem to fluctuate on that. I usually have a cheat day a week but since I started this plan I've been swearing off cheat days.

At 5'8 and 147 lb - you're not overweight so the reason for you not losing weight may be because simply you don't have much to lose.

What's your bodyfat percentage?

You said yourself your shape improved after BFL so maybe you lost mostly fat on that program while maintaining muscular curves.

I am 5'8 and weigh 67K (147 lbs) and cannot lose weight. For 2 months I started running about 5 times a week for 40 min and then switched to Body for Life. I am now on my last week of BFL and have seen an improvement in shape, but cannot believe that I have not lost 1 pound!

I am trying to eat 5 meals a day, all between 200-300 calories, (it's hard because I just don't get that hungry). I would like to weigh about 130 lbs. Besides my legs, I have a small bone structure. What can I do to jump start my metabolism and drop weight?

I am going to check it out. I have been out of the gym. I am starting with some basic cardio (treadmill, bike, and walking). I will touch back in a month. I am reading the (toxic cleanse book). I tend to do better with a quick boost of weight loss. I have a lot, and have lost 3 lbs (3 weeks).

I have a large goal of losing 57 lbs. My problem is keeping it off for good. I can lose weight but I have the "all of nothing mentality." I am going to be 39. Need to get it off now. IT'S YOUR BODY! and forget about looking thinner for a moment and think bout how much healthier you'll be if you lose weight and...

SO WHAT they dont want you to lose weight - IF YOU want to lose weight then do it and don't let anybody stop you and here's a bonus...

Maybe after you lose some weight they'll want to shape you also but basically...

Losing weight is not going to hurt them or anyone else and Not losing weight is not going to hurt them either but it will hurt you so...

Hi! I am a preacher's wife. The women that I usually end up 'entertaining', working with, etc. always complain when I mention diet. I am thinner than they are (still 25lbs overweight) and they just keep giving me a hard time about trying to lose. I can't get away from them, yet I can't be rude either. Any ideas? Hello, first I want to say thank you! What does one need to do if they only want to loose the fat in their stomach, love handles, upper arms and just tone everything else like my thighs and butt. I'm afraid to do any cardio because when I loose weight I loose it in the wrong places (butt) I used to have a shelf, then when I got sick and lost weight, it's like my butt dropped so when my boyfriend squeezes it he has to grab the bottom portion near my thigh because theirs nothing on the top.

Hi, I used to be quite thin and a normal weight as a kid, when i reached about 9-10 i started getting bigger n put on more weight, i'm not huge, but i've got a pot belly and un-needed fat on my legs, chest etc..
i'm very paranoid and hate my body and would never take my clothes off infront of someone, I lack the motivation and I have been wanting to push myself to the edge of really trying to loose weight, i give into food too easily, i would normally eat 2-3 times and be usually big meals, when i get really hungry i dont know what to eat, so i just eat whats easy to get to..
i'm 16 and i've looked at some of your videos and articles, can you give me some insight/advice? and would metablism pills be appropriate?

I really love this website...I am trying to come up with an exercise plan that is a little different each day... I love trying new things and have found that your website offers exactly what I am looking for. My question is this: what is the rule of thumb for rotating your exercises? Can you exercise EVERY DAY? Or do you have to have a day of rest? I would like to do something related to toning in the AM, PM and then at least one good cardio workout on a piece of equipment. I did your Pyramid Interval 1 today and it was GREAT!!.. Do you have any suggestions for maybe a weekly routine to mix it up ...? or is there something on the site that outlines a good schedule? Threw my teens yrs. I was a thin person well actually a very skinny one, I was a size ZERO... Back then I wanted to b thicker and have shape to my body... After my first child I had the body I wanted but it came with strech marks...lol... Then i had another child, which also gave me more butt and breast, something I never thought I would ever have since I use to b SUPER thin... It was my third child that I realize that the skinny person I once was, was NEVER coming back!!!! From 90pounds size Zero to a size 9-140 pounds... "thats a BIG diffrencs for a 5'feet person"... AVOID STRESS! and read "11 ways to curb cravings" by going here: and find more ways to combat stress because too much stress cause belly fat gain and..

If you're going to overeat while stressed out - surround your self with weight loss foods like fruits & veggies, muffins, protein shakes, almonds & other nuts plus...

Place a picture of your former skinny self around your home, work, or where ever you can to remind you not to overeat while in your stressed out mode

It seems like the only thing stopping you from reaching your weight loss goal is "STRESS" so deal with and you'll be that beautiful skinny woman you want to be!

Ok, so I used to be skinny in highschool, well at least I was at a healthy BMI, after my first daughter it is like my body and appetite exploded. I don't mind exercising, I do the elyptical for 35 min twice a week and run/walk 3 miles two times a week. While I exercise I am extremely motivated, however as soon as stress hits I slide into overeat mode, and I eat a lot of crap, I am forty pounds overweight, and I am disgusted, what can I do?

It seems like you're just exercising just to be exercising.

Maybe if you got a goal to shoot for like "I want to lose x number of pounds by march" or "I want to get a six pack by March".. this would keep you focused and on track and...

Yes - getting back on track after not exercsing for a while is hard but it's easier & easier as you start doing a little something everyday.

I think what you're doing now is great! and taking photos of yourself is a great idea - (this way you'll never quit)

I happened across your site yesterday and found it to be a great source of information. I wanted to tell you how fantastic it was to have all that information available in one spot. I am a 33 year-old female trying to look good naked. I have a lot working against me. I have had 3 c-sections, an open appendectomy and I am extremely overweight. Well, I guess its extreme. According to the BMI calculators I am.

I started my own "semi-workout" schedule back in January of this year. I have returned to finish my degree in television and film at the University of West Florida. While I was taking my courses I decided to take yoga and pilates to get me started on something instead of being sedentary. When I started the spring semester I weighed 251. After 18 weeks I have lost 19 lbs. I am extremely happy. I never thought anything would really happen other than I would give up. This time feels different. I guess what I am looking for is a bit of advice. I have done a few things like replacing all my drinks with water and I signed up for summer aerobics classes at the University that meets 2 times a week.

I want to keep losing and reshaping my body. I even went so far as to take some photos of myself naked to see where I am now. However, by doing that I think I discouraged myself. I have never actually looked at myself naked. ITS HORRIBLE. I'd like to get a few tips from you if I could. Is aerobics really the fastest way to drop the hanging fat I have? Or should I be concentrating more on my diet?

I appreciate any help. Again, your website is fantastic. I look forward to hearing from you.
