I'm not a doctor or an OB/GYN but has you or your OB/GYN looked at the BMI & height weight charts here?

Your BMI is healthy and YES... you are overweight according to the chart but by only 10 pounds -NOT 27!

Now I'm not saying you should substitute my advice for your OB/GYN's advice because I'm not a doctor but I'm just puzzled as to why you need to lose 27 pounds?

You already have a good looking figure and losing that much may turn you into a stick so to answer your questions...

Nothing is wrong with you and you're only 10 pounds overweight - nothing to be alarmed about and you need this weight loss plan to lose those last 10 pounds

'K. Kind of a long story, but better to have more info than necessary than not enough!

So, I am a STRICT vegetarian and have been since March... meaning no fish, chicken, beef, pork, deer, elk... if it bleeds out, it's not for me! Every now and then I do have a chocolate protein bar (closest thing to junk in the house). I eat breakfast every morning, high protein cereal with low-fat soy milk and craisins and a cup of Acai berry juice. I never eat past 8 PM, though Iam in school until 10 PM (home around 11).

I sleep approx. 6 hours/night. I also have imposed a strict high protein low fat diet since August... 50g protein/day, 20g fat (or less)... I work out about 3 days/week (weights and cardio, but abs I do 5 days/week) but I also work 40 hours/week AND go to college full time... also take the bus everywhere and walk (that isn't included in my workout schedule). I take an aruvedic colon health supplement, as well as Calcium and a regular women's multivitamin.

My problem is I am 5' 3" and weigh 137 pounds! I do have a very "curvy" figure (36DD, 27.5, 36.5) but my OB/GYN told me to lose 27 more pounds... the problem is, I can't do it. I have health issues that prevent me from taking any diet pills/drinks that would be high in stimulants... As far as I know, I have normal blood work and no thyroid problems...

I'm 24 and overweight... what's wrong with me???


Er also, in terms of water...

I drink about 90 oz a day... yes, I drink 1 diet soda in the AM, and sometimes right before the late class I have 1 8 oz cup of black coffee, but that's it... so the water helps, I've heard... if you're dehydrated your metabolism can drop, but I'm def not dehydrated...

i am 23 years old, approx.5'7'' and i weigh 215lbs.most of my weight is carried in my stomach and lower back area.i do not have regular bowel movements(approx. ONCE every few days). my eating habits arent that great, i have just started exercising and trying to watch what i eat, and eat 3-4 times a day, instead of the 1-2 large meals a day i would eat. i am feeling a bit overwhelmed and am curious if you could break things down for me, also would a colon cleanse be a good idea?

The answer to your question depends on "How BAD" you may or may not have been eating before you start this diet so...

If you been eating a lot of bad foods while not drinking any water then yes...

You will lose weight or waste faster but...

If you've been eating pretty clean like weight loss foods then you'll still lose weight - You just wont get that 5-to-10 pound weight loss jump start in the first 1-to-2 weeks

hey, what if i were to go on this diet, eating a lot of fibre and what not, and was also to exercise probably every day on this diet, either one hour of walking or taebo, do I have a better chance of loosing weight faster? if so, i know you can't tell because you don't know how my metabolism works, but on average how much do you reckon?

First and foremost I would like to thank you for taking your time and answering our questions. I am currently very frustrated and at my wits end. I started working out on July 10 doing 5-6 days a week of alternating cardio and strength training. At first I wasn't eating well but i wasn't eating Junk either, but when I discovered I had gained 6 pounds 4 weeks later I started eating better. For the past 2 weeks I have been eating lots of fruits and salads and still working out but haven't lost any weight either, so there is something I am definetly doing wrong. I was thinking perhaps I should stop and start over with a colon cleanse then continue with my diet and excercise plan and maybe start taking a fat burner? I am really frustrated and thinking of just quitting all together. A personal trainer said that I needed a personal trainer to get results but i can't afford that at the moment. Finally how long should i do your excercises for? and are there any excercises i can do at the gym? I am 5'11 and currently weigh 230. Please help Grace

I'm okay with my belly, it's not perfect, but that will change over time. My main concern is my butt, and thighs. No matter what I do, I can't get that area toned up. i struggeled with weight since i was in middle school. i always had a sedentary life with a weight of 150 punds till last november. i started going to the gym and eating healthy and i lost like 10 pounds in less than 4 weeks.i felt great and started getting in shape. however, i traveled for like a month and half and gained up to 30pounds. i just started the gym again and im following a diet based on fruit and veggies to clean my body from all the bad food i used to eat. my question is : in order for me to lose the weight should i follow the same exercise and diet that i did before or do something different knowing that i used to work out for 2 to 3 hours a day?
my height is 5'7 and my actual weight is 170

Of course - you don't need colon cleansing supplements if you eat more raw fruits & vegetables, nuts and lean meats while drinking plenty of water.

Colon cleanse supplements contain natural herbs and fibers (the same fiber you can get from fruits & veggies) that help you cleanse and you only need colon cleanse supplements if you're not going to completely change your eating habits and/or you're having less than 1-to-2 bowel movements a day

It's really nothing to worry about because all you're really doing is avoiding junk food while eating more complex carbs & high fiber foods like more raw fruits, veggies, oatmeal and lean proteins like fish plus drinking more water so....

Really it's almost a NO effort weight loss plan where you don't have to exercise but if you do exercise you will of course lose more weight

this sounds like a really good plan, but the only thing is, i'm not entirely sure how fast it will work, and how much i could loose...it says you could loose 20 or up to 50, and i do know it depends on how much junk you eat, but i'm just worried.

Sorry - I don't know of any colon cleansing products that ship to canada but you can do a search on google for it and..

You can still drink shakes and have shrimp but I would stay away from pastas and if you eat bread then eat wheat bread and only complex unprocessed carbs

It may not be normal but I know some people's bodies get adjusted to eating healthier and then react funny when they "shock" their bodies by eating bad foods all of a sudden but... I would have a doctor check this out if anything serious happens or then again - it could have been something bad in the food

hey adrian, umm ive been doin this diet and to tell you the truth, i havent really stuck to it 100%, but when i do eat other foods for eg. i ate pizza the other night, and about 2 hours later, i felt really sick like i was going to hurl, and any other junk i eat..now its that normal when your on this diet or am i just a freak?

NO - eating TOO Much and not exercising at all puts on weight - eating simple carbs like sugar, white bread and other processed foods make you gain weight by causing spikes in your blood sugar that makes you feel hungry quicker making you eat too much but unprocessed complex carbs like brown rice suppresses yor hunger maiking you not eat as much so you'll lose weight.

The amount of weight you lose and how fast you lose with this weight loss plan depends highly on how much crap(waste & toxins) in your body combined with how overweight you are so for example...

If you ate bad foods, had less than 1 bowel movement a day, and you're overweight then YES - you may be able to lose 20 pounds in 30 days but if not then DOn't expect to lose that much and...

Tae-bo is good and it may help speed up the colon cleansing process a little bit.

You do want to watch your salt intake but on this diet you don't have to worry about "watching" your salt intake because with the types of foods you eat plus the water the salt is really a Non-factor in how much weight you lose or gain but I'm also not saying you can go overboard and eat as many salty foods you like

That's correct - eating these foods while eating the right amount of calories to lose weight is the basic way to lose weight and I don't know too much about subway's menu to judge it as good or bad but fast food places are generally bad in my opinion if you're trying to lose weight

I wouldn't take Alli See this as to why and also...

Just becasue the Alli binds with the FAT you eat doesn't mean you can overeat and expect to lose weight - I suspect you'll do much better off the Alli

I have been having troubles with cellulite and found your page during my research. I quit smoking on Thanksgiving, YAY, but I quickly gained 15lbs! I used to exercise at a minimum of 2 hours a day (before my hysterectomy last year) and was in such great shape at 128lb and 5ft 7in. Now I weigh 157lb! A month ago I started my old routine of exercising everyday for at least 45 minutes. I also cut out soda at this point. My biggest complaint... I've gained 2.5 lbs! I've been taking Alli, so I do have at least 1 BM a day. What else should I or could I do? Any ideas on why I would be gaining rather than loosing? Do you think Colon Cleanse could help me.

The master cleanser diet will work for anybody but... You will probably gain back all the weight you lose on this diet so if I were you... I would Start on a more permanent weight loss program

It depends on how bad your diet was before you started cleansing - Usally the more bad stuff you eat(like sugar, junk food, candy, fast food) and the IN-frequency of your bowel movements determine if you need those colon supplements so...

If you're NOT having 1 bowel movement a day then I you'll definitely get good weight loss benefits will a colon supplement but if you're having a bowel movement everyday and eating pretty good then...

You may not need the pill and I'm sure you'll lose weihgt eating just the veggies and fruit
