i don't feel comfortable advising someone who's pregnant on how to lose weight and the only advice I can give you is to Read this article here on weight loss during and after pregnancy but I also strongly advise you to use your own personal experiences and doctors as your weight loss guides.

I am at most 14 days pregnant. I know that its normal for some women to naturally lose a little weight the first trimester and some will gain up to 3 lbs. The thing is I am about 20 lbs overweight since having my daughter about 9 months ago. I only just started trying to lose weight slowly. Now, I am concerned about how heavy I am now to start a pregnancy. I intend to work out throughout my pregnancy. But, do you know of any fat burners that are safe during the first trimester. I know its not ideal to try to lose weight during pregnancy. But, I'm not trying to starve myself. I'll take my vitamins and eat healthy. And with my first 2 kids I didn't know I was pregnant until I was 2 months along anyway. So, in my mind, 30 days to get to a good starting weight for the pregnancy isn't a horrific risk. Thank you for you guidance.

Well -the fruit in your case may be okay if you say nothing's been done to it but I just seen in some quick research I've done that frozen fruit is processed but if yours in unprocessed then it's okay

Thanks for answering my questions Adrian. I have more to come, but this will do for now. Glad to hear someone say I don't have to overwork my kidney's like so much of my "research" has indicated. I only drink milk, iced tea (sweetened with nustevia) and water, I just don't drink that much-3 cups of milk, no more than two glasses of tea, and the rest water. When I'm thirsty, I drink, just like we are told to eat only when we are hungry!!

I said no more questions right now, but I am curious, why not the frozen fruit? It is nothing but fruit, no additives, so I'm not sure I see where you are coming from on this one.

Thanks so much for helping people like me get through this! I haven't seen any results yet, but since Monday will be the one week mark for the exercise, I hope to see something by then. If not, I will hope for Thursday since that will be the one week mark for the diet.

Never feel guilty about asking ? - ask as many as you need to until you get the body you want.

If you mostly just drink water only and NOT too many sodas, juices etc then you can probably get away with not drinking the measly 70 oz of water but make sure that when you do drink something it is MOSTLY ONLY WATER.

The only thing i have an issue with is the frozen fruit - I would take it out but all the other fruits andveggies you're eating is fine - esp. the apples which are real good for weight loss!

YES - one stalk of celery= 1 veggie and you can count half a head of brocclii as 1 veggie and here's 1 big tip for you...

If you keep doing your exercising while eating mainly weight loss foods - you won't have to EVER count calories to keep weight off.

I'm sorry to keep bothering you, I see you have a lot to do answering these questions and, for what it's worth, I do feel guilty for asking. Thank your continued attention to each question.

I have done workout #1 3 days this week (today was the third). Yesterday, I started incorporating this diet plan. I suppose my main question (for now) is when I am eating the two fruits and/or veggies, how am I counting celery? When you say one whole fruit/veggie, then you used the example of one entire head of broccoli, I am concerned you mean one entire bunch of celery. I hope you mean one stalk is one fruit/veggie serving. See, I am trying to keep my calories to 1200. Yesterday, I got OVER 1500!! Celery is so low cal, I can certainly fit it in if we are only talking two stalks. I am still trying to stick with 3 dairy servings, 4 whole grains, at LEAST 2 servings of fruit, at LEAST 3 servings of veggies, and protein. Now the difference with your diet and what I was doing before is that I am eating a LOT more veggies/fruits, and protein. That's a good thing for me, as it keeps me from having the "extras" I had been having such as 100 cal. pack Cheez It's and 100 cal. pack Oreos, but I really need to get those calories back down. im 18, 5'7" and 130 lbs. now it may not seem like a lot but i have noticeable excess weight on my "love handles", stomach, thighs and anywhere else fat can be stored !
i would loveee to lose about 10-15lbs and get a bikini body in 3-5 weeks.
would that be possible on this diet if i work out for 30 minutes everyday (except one day a week) and do strength training every other day?

You need protein to increase your metabolism and if your diet has no protein in it then all the carbs you eat will get easily converted to body fat storage and you don't want that

I have two questions...
1. For the fruit, what if I want to eat blueberries, strawberries, etc. Can I incorporate these and approximately how much should I be eating (1 cup, 5 strawberries, etc)?
2. Can I mix the soy protein with diet Snapple or an equivalent 0-calorie drink? Hate the taste of it and drink TONS of water anyway, so not only is it gross, but I feel like I'm getting water-logged.

Don't feel bad about the workout - It even took me a couple of times before i could do it without stopping and it's okay if you stop and rest in order to finish the workout and the main thing is THAT YOU FINISH & you did that so good job on that

Thank you for responding Adrian. I did forget to mention I am consuming a 1200 calorie diet with no more than 20% of those calories coming from fat. Before I try this eating plan, I'll do as you said-try just the workout routine. I did it for the first time this morning and, well, I didn't quite make it through everything. I went through it twice, but couldn't manage 20 push ups, or even half push ups for that matter. I'll have to work my way up to that. Also, when I started to feel my pulse in my head, I stopped the jumping jacks, and the same thing with the ski steps. I know this sounds like I wimped out big time, but it is a much more intense workout than I have been doing, so I am content with working my way into the full blown workout gradually.

I wanna try this diet plan to loose some fat I'm only 15 and I really want to loose weight I weigh 240 I'm 5'10" and I would like to get down to 195, 200 somewhere in there. I'm not as active as I was during school. I just got out of school for the summer and during school athletics we would do the basic bench, squat, incline, and power cleane and little running. The main thing you need to do when you hit a weight loss plateau is to DO something different and in your case...

Doing fast weight loss workout #1 or any of these other workouts may be the main change you need to kickstart your weight loss and also...

As for your diet make sure you're creating a calorie deficit to lose weight so although you're eating healhty -make sure your total calories are enough to make you lose weight and...

The egg beaters are fine as long as you use 100 calories worth of it each time in your 4 meals

I stumbled on this site today while trying to find a free personal training workout. The budget just doesn't allow for me to go to the gym and certainly not to have to pay for a personal trainer on top of that. Anyway, I am going to try this to lose 20 lbs. fast. I have already lost nearly 50 by eating right (2 fruits, 3 vegs., protein, and 4 whole grains per day) and walking for an hour each day, but I seem to have hit a plateau. I am 5'4.5" and 160#'s right now, and would like to get down to 135. I know that's still on the heavy side, but I think I'll be happy there.

My question to you is this-Will this work for the 25 lbs. that I still have to lose? Will this work at all since I have been eating right and exercising for the last 5 months anyway? We all want to lose weight FAST, and after I have come so far, and seeing a plateau, I am even more impatient to get it off than I have been in the past, to the point I am almost ready to give up. I also plan to do the fast weight loss workout #1 while trying this eating plan.

Also, I won't be able to purchase fat burning pills, or protein drink mixes, but I will add Egg Beaters to my before meal plan. How much should I eat to match the equivalent in the protein shakes? In case you don't already know, 1/4 cup of Egg Beaters has 6 gms of protein. How does this type of protein match the whey/soy protein?

YES - it is possible to have a slight gain in muscle IF you're on a serious weight training program while on this diet but in reality...

You're only eating 0-to-1200 calories + 480 cals of protein + veggies so...

It's not really possible to put on a whole lot of weight with this diet

Honey in tea is a NO NO while on this diet because of extra calories but I'm currently researching honey and it's weight loss benefits but everything I've read so far about honey and weight loss says honey helps cleanse the body and since you're eating veggies and fruits plus water - you're already cleansing your body so for now...

i wouldn't use honey in your GREEN TEA until ME or YOU have looked into honey's weight loss benefits

hi thanks for writing back.. iv sort have moderated your diet for exsample iv cut out all the fizzy stuff along with all the high fat stuff iv havent done the 20-40 mins excercise every morning but i have done some evercises.i also walk for about an hour a day except for tuesday and friday as i attend the gym those days and work on muscle. do you think this is ok?

NO splenda or diet drinks - the only weight loss diet drink you should have is WATER, green tea, or milk - all of those drinks speed up weight loss and the most I'v e heard anybody lose was 72 pounds on this diet plan

Too much salt and not drinking enough water causes you to retain water weight making you look bloated so YES... SALT IS BAD if you're trying to lose weight but... you don't have to worry about that if you drink enough water and keep a normal salt intake

If the calculator said only 900-1200 calories then that tells me you're not that overweight and it's really not a good idea to go under 1200 calories so in your case - You'd be better off doing this advanced weight loss plan here but to answer your question -

First of all - Your protein source or soy shake should be only 80-to-120 calories and after you eat the veggies/fruit/protein you then only eat a 0-to-300 calorie meal so in reality...

Hi. I am interested in trying out the weight loss program. so heres my plan :

when i wake up i will drink 2 cups of green tea and then i wil power walk about 30-40 min. Then I eat 2 whole raw fruit and do i have to take the protein shake? then i have a 100 cal. cereal.

For lunch
I'll eat 2 fruits and 1-300 calorie lunch.

then same for snack

after snack i'll hit the gym and workout for 2 hrs

then at 6 i'll take my green tea

then for dinner ill eat fruits/veggies and a small salad

will this help me lose 20 pounds? Is it necessary to follow the workout plans like taebo, hip hop abs , and the 2 videos above? Because i really like to go to the gym and work out for 2 hrs

I have a hard time eating raw vegies without dip. Is it ok to use dip? If so, does it have to be fat free? And I assume the calories have to be counted in the meal.

You're going in the right direction - I don't like going by scale numbrs anyway - I'd rather do by how you look or how other people notice the new way you look but as far a s scale numbers goes - I wouldnt check the scale everyday and only check it once a week

NO - body sculpting execises help build and/or maintain muscle but.. this muscle you build helps shape and tone your body making your body look slimmer so doing ab exercises may burn a "little fat"compared to cardio but the ab muscle you build will help your belly look flatter.

2. if they do, what would you recommend doing so that she wouldn't lose size. She's kinda proud of them too and so am I. I don't want them to get smaller, but I'm sure you can understand that.

Like you said - people lose fat from different places on thier body and... I can't predict where she'll lose it from but I can tell you THese breast firming exercises will help here maintain what she has making them look bigger

Just a quick one here Adrian. Love the site by the way getting ready to start a fat loss plan with cardio and weight training with my girlfriend soon. Neither one of us are severely overweight maybe only about 15-20 lbs so I'm trying to combine this plan with stuff from the burn fat feed muscle e-book (great buy by the way). I've got two questions for you: Is the only way to really burn belly fat just by burning fat all over or are there specific excercises which when combined with fat loss will specifically target the stomach or is it pretty much just a crap shoot whether or not your body burns belly fat as fast as the rest of your body? Looked through the sculpting exercises but wasn't sure if they really encouraged belly fat burning more than anything else. I would assume they do but just wanted to double check. Also, along those lines, my second question is this. My girlfriend is....well...shall we say well endowed. And one thing I'm concerned with is she's had a great cup size for a while and only recently really put on a little extra weight (before I met her). Not a lot, as I've said we aren't severely overweight but we could do better. My question is with a fat burning program, is she really going to lose a lot as far as cup size is concerned or would the types of exercises we do affect that?

#Protein increases your metabolism
#Protein reduces your appetite
#Protein maintains your metabolism even on a low-calorie diet

The whey & soy protein is just a way I for me to get you to include enough protein in your diet to lose weight but...

I have recommened to other people who can't stand the taste of protein to substitute the whey protein with another PURE source of protein that's under 100 calories like a 80 calorie can of tuna for example so to answer your question...

YES - protein is important and...

NO - whey or soy isn't neccessary if you replace it with other sources of protein and by the way...

I just had to start counting calories again. I wasn't losing much weight at first but now I've lost about 3 pounds. I've been eating exactly every 3 hours. I get hungry right around that time anyways. If I get hungry between that 3 hour gap, I drink water. Hopefully I'll keep losing. Thanks!

well ive bin on it since last summer when i was about 240..i stopped eating junk foods and stuff and started runnin and liftin weight and the weight started comin off fast..but ive bin at a seroius slow point for a while now...i'd say i eat about 1000 cals a day...same workouts

for example...

When you eat an 85 calorie apple - Your body may have to burn 95 calories to digest that apple so in this example... You'd burn 10 calories every time you'd eat an apple so...

For my exercise, I either do one of The Hip Hop Abs workouts or Turbo Jam, which I think is more intense, I do either 20 minutes a day or 40 minutes is I have enough energy.

I weigh myself every morning before my meals since I know eating and drinking makes one fluctuate.

I have noticed changes. There is a little more definition on my upper abs, not much but it's noticeable.

I also went from a size 16 pant size to a size 14, but that's also do to what I was doing before.

When I went to the gym a few days ago I noticed I gained more muscle. I went from a 39% body fat percentage to 34% which is the maximum percentage one should have.

You're doing everything RIGHT and you are doing what you need to do to Lose weight which is eating less and from what you've told me - you're doing that and exercising more and you're doing that (can you tell me exactly what exercise routine you're doing and how long you've been doing it?)

If you do get hungry only snack on fruits & veggies (no nuts) and you can stop using the direutic drink know - you could be getting extra calories from that but...

I don't think it's going help too much since you're following a rather healthy lifestyle and I doubt it's going to help flush out any extra water weight from your body and you can drink 2-to-3 liters of cold water daily as a calorie free diruetic anyway

Are you weighing yourself at the same times during the day? - your weight flucuates thruout the day.

Have you noticed any good changes in your appearance or your clothes fitting better due to a slight gain in muscle?

Double check and make sure you're not going over the 300 calorie mark at each meal and...

I could be wrong about the water retention fact meaning that the 2 pounds you gained back was mostly water but even if Iam wrong - I don't think you have to worry about that too much because your diet and exercise lifestyle is good enough to battle any long term water retention problems.

Write me back with your thoughts so we can both figure this thing out but in reality...

I think you're doing fine and I wouldn't worry about this small bump in the road and just keep going until you hit your weight loss goal

It's been about 5 days since Ib started this plan and I lost 2 pounds and gained them back. I excercise at minimum 5 days a week and 6 days max. That's 20-40 minutes in the mornings.


This is my diet,

Breakfast,

1 large orange and 1 large banana
1 scoop of whey protein powder with 8oz of skim milk

if i'm still hungry i have 2 scrambled eggs but I'm mostly full by the time I eat the latter

Lunch:


I have 4 cups of salad greens with a low cal dressing, one large apple,

a scoop of whey protein and 8 oz of skim milk

If I'm still hungry, I eat a WW Smart Ones frozen meal which is about 300 calories

Dinner:

4 cups

I have 4 cups of salad greens with a low cal dressing, one large apple,

a scoop of whey protein and 8 oz of skim milk

If I'm still hungry I eat a serving of lean meat.


For snack, I have a raw fruit and a 1/4 cup of almonds.

If I'm hungry between meals I'll grab another handful of almonds or walnuts or an apple

I drink about 64 oz of water a day.
as well as 60 oz of the diuretic drink mention on here.

I take 4 gelcaps of Applied Nutrition Green Tea Fat Burner as well.

Am I doing anything wrong?

I've already lost over 20 lbs of water weight after going on a low calorie diet 2 months ago. I weighed 206 and now I weigh 184.

Hi Adrian,

are soya nuts an acceptable substitute for whey/soy protein in place of the almonds to have before each of my 0-300 cal meals, along with the 2 fruits and/or veggies? In half a bag (25g) there is 100 calories, 9.4g protein and 5.4g of fat of which 0.7g saturates.
Also, for the 2 fruits could I eat half a large mango and a medium sized apple or is this too much? I just started on the diet plan this morning (unfortunately without the whey/soy protein & fatburners), here is what I did/ate:

8.30 am: Woke-up had a glass of water followed by a cup of green tea. Straight after this I did..
-1,400 steps on mini-stepper (200 calories burnt).
-Tricep dips -3 sets of 8 reps, 2 mins rest between each set.
-Tricep kickbacks with a chair- 2 sets of 20 reps, 2 mins rest between each set.
-Seated overhead tricep extensions- 2 sets of 20 reps per arm, 2 mins rest between each set.
-stretches for 5 mins.

I did your 'get rid of flabby arms' workout rather than the recommended pre-breakfast interval workout because I cant do all the skipping and jumping- jacks earlier in the morning or I will wake up everyone in the house! Lol. Is this ok for me to do instead, then perhaps do the interval workout later in the evening if I get the chance? Could I still expect to lose 20-30 pounds in 3-4 weeks if I do it like this? Im 19, female, 5'5, 211 pounds. Im sorry to keep asking you questions but any help/suggestions would be appreciated. Many thanks.

I'm 5'4 more or less (165cm)and between 68-69 kilos (I guess that's about 150). I'm a late sleeper and tend to go to bed early in the morning and sleep until about noon. Out of habit I try not eat after seven (unless I haven't gotten around to eating). With this diet should I still continue with eating 4 times a day or only on those days when I actually get up early? How much weight can I expect to lose? Also, regarding your other suggestions the average weather where I live is over 100 degrees (41C) with a 50% humidity, since I often walk 45 minutes a day in this weather, will that affect my salt intake? I'm a salt-a-holic who is slowing down on intake, but actually crave salty things over sweet. (I drink about 4 liters of water a day).

I think I will try this diet as an alternative to the MC but unfortunately I am not able to buy the fat burners or the soy protein as money is kind of an issue at the moment, but Im desperate to lose the weight.. like I mentioned before; Im female, 19 (nearly 20), 5'5, weighing 211 pounds. YES - you may be away to get away with doing tennis early on but I beleive your body will get used to this weight loss workout very soon if you've been playing tennis for most of your life and...

I'd prefer if you did get hungry during the day that you eat raw veggies (raw fruits are okay) but veggies tend to kill your appetite much longer while eating fruits by themselves may cause you to get hungry again quicker

Hi,
Thank you very much, I have started on the diet and I’m doing fine. Though I have not started seeing visible results yet but I’m positive about things. This is my routine:
- 1 cup of Green tea with honey in the morning
- 2 Whole fruits of Carrots, Avocados and Tangerines
- 30mins later, a glass of Whey Protein with water
- 30mins later a small portion of food
- 1 hour workout at the gym
- 20mins of workout in the pool (not swimming)
This has been my routine everyday for 5days now. My question is: yesterday, I added the lemon detox drink to my diet (2tbs of squeezed lemon, 2tbs of maple syrup, a pinch of cayenne pepper and 8ounces of water).
Do you think this will help me speed up my weight loss? As I said I’m 181lbs now and I’m determined to loss 20lbs by July 08.
Please, I need your advice.

After having my 4 meals today, I just got very hungry just now. Is it ok to snack on fruits and nuts when I start having those cravings? That's what I just did and I went well over the 1500 limit... I drank more water and I drank a detoxing tea though.

Help me babe. Im trying to follow the LOSE 20 LBS IN 3-4 WEEKS. I have only got 40 days (!!) to lose 20lbs. I am a 19year old currently weighing about 60kg and am around 5foot 2. The problem is, COUNTING CALORIES! Is it REALLY important to have two raw vegetables/fruits before each meal? I have a very hard time counting calories with my mothers home made meals (it’s a nightmare!) So I was wondering whether the 0-300 calories can be included in food products in packets (yeah I know anything in packets are bad lol). But what about if I consume only WITHIN the limit. For example… once I have had my two raw fruits/vegetable and my hunger level is 4-7, can I will eat a packet of quavers (87cal) and 30g of popcorn (120 cals) which will be within 200-300 cals. Is this not a good idea?? (Obviously avoiding all chocolates and sweets)

Do I need to take the fat burner before my exercise or before my veggies/protein/meal? I generally wake up and go for a jog around 7am. I've been taking the fat burner, running, and then eating breakfast. I do the same thing around 6-7pm but I go to the gym for weight training and more cardio. Sometimes that has me eating dinner at 8:30 or 9pm. Is this how this should be working or is that too late?

Also, if I follow the process for the first three meals and eat a reasonable 300-500 calorie meal at day end will this be as effective? I'm finding it hard to choke down a 4th protein shake...I find myself wanting solid food.

Does it matter if you are blending your fruits and or veggies to drink them as a smoothie? I have been doing my breakfast as 2 servings of fruit (usually frozen strawberries and 1/2 a banana with the protein powder and 16 oz of water) and then a salad for lunch and then another smoothie for Snack.

It seems to be going slowly. 5 lbs in 3 weeks is all.

I am 30, I am active by walking my 2 oldest children to school every day and then continuing to walk for another hour (usually at least 2 if not 3 miles) plus a second walk in the afternoon when I pick them up for school. My calories are around 1200-1800 a day.

I'm 5'6'' and weigh 140(ish) pounds. I want to lose about 20 pounds. I've weighed around 115-120 pounds my whole adult life (then moved back with with my lovely but unhealthy-eating parents for a year after college and thus I am where I am now...). I literally gained 20 pounds in 6 months which really scares me.
In losing the weight I want to remain as healthy in eating habits as possible and lose the weight with the ability to keep it off. How long is a realistic and healthy period for me to lose the weight? Also do you recommend a specific soy/protein powder? One more question: people keep telling me not to eat fruit b/c fruits have so many carbs/sugars in them. What are your feelings on this?

Your soreness will get better as you get use to the workout and...

Your first 10-to-15 pounds will probably come off quick and easy in 4-to-5 weeks but after that (once you're down to 134 pounds) your weight loss is going to get harder but as long as you keep up your exercise regimen - Weight loss shouldnt be too much of a problem to you as long as you switch up your workout routine by doing a differnet exercise, exercising longer, and/or harder so basically...

Expect to lose 2-to-5 pounds a week for your first 3-to-4 weeks and then expect a 1-to-3 pound week weight loss as you get closer to your goals.

You get rid of double chin mainly by losing weight (bodyfat) but...

The free five minute facelift book may help with that also.

Make a goal to lose 40 pounds and keep it off permently in 12 weeks and even if you don't make it... You'll come pretty damn close to losing 40 pounds!

hi im an 18 year old girl weighing 149 lb and 1.56m.im what you call apple shape. i want to lose 40 lb in the next 7-8 weeks and KEEP IT OFF.is it possible?for exercise i use the stepper and the gravity strider.my plan is to do 4000 steps on the stepper this week, and to increase it by 1000steps every week so that my body does not get used to it.along with that i wil do 30minutes on the gravity strider(beny machine).i hope this isn’t rude but i found a workout before i came across your website and i only tried it the other day http://www.health.com/health/ art...1183245,00.html
the thing is, the day after I tried it al my muscles have been aching.is this a good thing or bad?should I stop doing it?or am I jus meant to warm up? and also the workout say to do it 2 times a week,can I not do it everyday?

Workout five times a day for 30-to-50 minutes each is a little excessive but before i pass judgement - What workout are you doing?

is see no problem with his plan if the workout is low intensity but you already said you was watching a workout video so it probably isnt too easy and i wouldn't workout like this everyday but...

You can workout twice a day for 30-to-50 minutes in the morning & evening but you should only do that 3-to-4 times a week and the other day you can workout once a day.

Working too much like you are know is going to lead to burn out and depression - so don't overdo it -

This plan is fine for you because with your current workout plan and with the amount of protein you'll consume on this plan...

You'll easily maintain your muscle mass while burning fat but don't expect to lose 20 pounds in 4 weeks though.

You're probably much more leaner than most people dong this plan so you should expect a 5-to-10 pound reduction in bodyfat in 4-to-6 weeks and yes...

It does matter what you eat in the 0-to-300 calories - genrally... you can eat anything you want as long as you avoid processed foods, excess sugars, salty foods, junk food, fast foods but...

Please allow a cheat day once every 7-to-10 days and hopefully this diet will kill all your cravings for bad foods.

I am 18 years old, 6'1, 220 lbs. I wouldn't call myself severly overweight but I would love to slim down to under 200. Until a few months ago I spent about 3-4 hours a day in football practice and lifting weights, (so im not new to working out) but it was important for me to stay heavy due to football position reasons so i spent all extra time eating. My mission now is to get out of "football shape" and get into attractive shape. With summer comming i'd really like to lose fat but keep my muscle. I have started running two miles a day, lifting weights every other day, and intend to follow your plan. My job between 3 and 6 requires alot of heavy lifting and sweating, and i immediatley begin my run after this. Do think that will help or hurt me? Will my workouts be efficient? And does it matter what my 0-300cal meals consist of as long as they're inside the cal limit? Thanks alot.

I'm in a tight bind. I'm 25 years old, 5'3", and 152lbs. I'm the Maid of Honor in my college roomies wedding at the end of May. Ultimately, I would love to lose around 20-30lbs so that I could relive the college memories, but I'm trying to be realistic. Considering I only have 4 weeks at best, is this plan feasable? I've never been this heavy and I realize that I just have to buckle down...no more procrastination! Also, taking into consideration the protein, can I still do weight exercises so that I can tone arms (strapless dresses)?

How many times a day or how long are you doing the workout videos to burn almost 1700 calories a day?

Is this OK? I would have to say no because you'll overtrain quickly which could have psychologial and physical side effects hampering your weight loss efforts.

Don't do the master cleanse... You can cleanse your body by drinking 2 liters of water daily and eating plenty of fruits & veggies and so I can help you reach your 20 pound goal...

I am a 20 yr old college student and it is hard for me to follow any healthy food plan because of the food in the cafeteria and not being able to cook my own food because I stay in a dorm and they don't allow cookers there. I am 5'7 and weigh almost 200 pounds. I want to lose 20 pounds by the end of may. Do you have any tips for me to follow as far as my choice of eatting because I really don't have that many with being away at school. I am having trouble drinking this protein drink. Can I drink water instead?? I just have a hard time drinking stuff like that. I did it today for the first time with water and after water and my friut I wasn't hungry at all. Please let me know I want to do it right, but I couldn't make myself drink the whey protein.

I am almost done with my first week...I'm feeling great! Less hungry and tired than the first day and I feel better in my clothes. I've only lost 3 lbs...I've been following the program almost to a T but am not using the diet pills b.c I don't belive in them. What advice do you have for me to keep losing and to lose 5 lbs. this coming week? I only exercised two days this past week (I know exercise is one way)...any other advice?

I've gained some weight over the winter, and am hoping to lose about 7 lbs. in the next 3 weeks to fit back into my favorite blue dress. I currently weight 134 lbs. and am 5'5''. If you was confined to a bed for 7 months then I'm almost positive that the 4 pounds you gained from walking are just old leg muscles growing back after not been used in the last 7 months but...

If that's not the case - then you have to change something like...

Change the exercise = Jog instead of walk or

Walk faster and/or walk longer

So it seems you hit a plateau - Read how to break out of weight loss plateau - this may jump start your weight loss again but...

Your current diet seems fine - i wouldn't change it but you could do the basic 4 meals a day plan with my diet to see if it speeds things up a bit and YES...

I would add more veggies & fruits to the mix for your complex carbs & make sure most of your 20% fats are coming from the Fats that burn fat and lean proteins like fish...

On June 1st I'm going to be a bridesmaid in the US. (I live in Austria)

I would love to lose 20lbs or more before that time. Over the past 9 weeks I have gone from 227lbs til 206lbs, so there is still plenty to take from. I'm only 165cm.

Now I eat around 1500kcal a day, 45% proteins/35% complex carbs/20% fat, spread out on 5 meals. I get up at 0430 and run for about 45min 3-4 times a week. I usually eat breakfast at 6am.

I also do high intensity weight training 2-3 times a week with a PT. I also try to get in a long run 1.5-2 hours on the weekend.

I work out with a heart rate monitor and burn on average 5-600kcal a day on training.

My question is, would eating 4 times a day be enough?
Would I be able to lose 20lbs or more in this time?

My current weight loss is going to slow, at least I think so. So I have to try something else and came across this.

I have lost several inches, so I have toned up, but I know I haven't gained that much muscles to count for slow weight loss.

I fly over a week before the wedding so the last week I don't have that much time to work out, but the goal is to not gain anything the last week. So basically I have 4 weeks until I leave.

So basically, please help.

Hi, I am starting on your program on April 25th. I am 5'8 female weighing 158 pounds age 28, I lead a sedentary lifestyle. I want to weigh between 135-138 in 3-4 weeks. I bought a whole bunch of raw veggies, like baby carrots and broccoli. I bought smart ones 200-280 calorie meals. I bought whey protein, and a fat burner.

Do you basically focus on eating less for weight loss?

To answer your question though... YES - you will lose weight on this diet plan and any other weight loss plan because you're somewhat overweight making it easier for you to lose weight fast and I really can't predict how much weight you will lose exactly so...

All I can do is tell you to stay in touch whenever you need more help but...

If you're dieting history has been lose weight and then gain weight - YOU MUST EXERCISE to keep the weight off permanentlty becasue anytime your weight loss plan is all about eating less - chances are you'll gain the weight back so please...

Yes - your goal to lose 16 more pounds can be done with this plan but to be honest with you - it may take longer than 4 weeks since you're not much overweight plus...

Since you're playing lacross - You really can't count that as one of your weight loss workouts becasue your body is probably used to you playing lacross so...

I recommend you find another weight loss workout in addition to you playing lacross everyday but then again...

I really can't devise a healthy weight loss workout plan without knowing if this extra working out will affect your athletic ability in lacross or will it make your coach mad, and being a student - will you have time to workout extra

Give it about 5-to-10 weeks to reach your goal of losing 16 pounds and...

I am sooo happy that I found this site. I have tried to read over all the information that has been provided. My start weight is 238, and I am doing the emergency diet plan for 3 to 4 weeks. My question is in regards to the soy protein and fat burners. I purchased the Edge Advant Soy Protein but it has 170 cal per scoop. And I am not capable of buying the more expensive fat burners at this time so I purchased Mega-T, green tea supplements. Will this be effective with this plan so that I can still lose the weight?

The amount of weight you lose depends on how overweigh you are and you need to exercise EVERY morning since this is an EMERGENCY weight loss pln but if you have no weight loss emergencies then 4x a week is fine and YES...

Do you look any better after 3 weeks? It seems to me like the way yo're training you should be burning some fat while adding some lean muscle and on another important point...

You're not overweight so that could also be why your weight loss is slow and...

hi, I recently signed up for the military and I go to basic in august. Im 6'3 and 206 pounds. My goals are to lose a decent amount of weight and to also gain some upper body strength by august. Iv been on a regimen of pushups, situps and jogging(with sprinting thrown in.) Iv been watching wat I eat, and drinking plenty of water. Iv been doing this for a about 3 weeks but I still remain at the same weight. Would you be able to give me some advice on how to reach these goals?? thanks alot!

Here's what may solve your weight loss problem...

Since you've been eating on some sort of low calorie diet plan for a year now (even including mine) - Your metabolsim has adjusted and gotten use to your lower calorie intake (i'll try not to get too scientifically detailed) but basically...

You're body is smart and it knows "YOU'RE DIETING" and it's basically saying... Hey - if shantel's not going to eat that much then I'm just not going to burn that many calories by lowering her metabolism so...

What you need to do is (don't get scared) is to EAT MORE - Read point #3 here to see learn more about this

Eating more will get your metabolism reset back to the way it was meaning... it will get your body back to a state where it's burning more calories again and what i suggest you do is...

Go here to see how many calories you can eat to maintain your weight at a lightly active level and it I just did it for you based on the info you gave me and it says you need 2114 calories to maintain.

I would eat 2114 calories for at least 7-to-10 days to bring your metabolism back up to normal but
i know you're worry you may gain weight and I admit - you may gain a some but not a whole lot in 10 days but...

To keep your current weight in check you can increase the amount of calories you burn by exercising more intensly in the mornings & evengings everyday and you can limit your intense weight loss workouts to 3-to-4 times a week and You can read about other ways to increase your metabolism so you can eat more to not worry about gaining weight but get this...

You may lose 2-to-5 pounds in the next 10 days (which I'll think will really happen) because your body's fat-burning metabolism is going to get a real major boost from the extra calories you're eating (it takes energy to burn energy so it makes sense if you eat more calories for energy in your unique situation) plus... coulpe that with the extra exercie your doing - You may start to break out of your weight los rut.

Okay - so what happens after 10 days of higher calories - well hopefully your metabolism will be back in check so now...

You can go back to doing the lose 20 pounds plan here with the reduced calories but this time...

You'll only stay on my plan for only 4 days at a time and every 5th day you're going to eat 2114 calories again (or whatever # of calories you need to maintain your weight based on the weight loss calcualtor) so basically - here's your plan...

1. go 10 days straight eating 2114 calories to raise your metabolim back to normal

2. Go back to my regualr reduced calorie plan but stay on it for only 4 days at a time and every 5th day increase your calories back up tothe normalamount you need to maintain your weight.

I believe this should work - I'm confident it will based on the info you gave me and you know you an always contact me if anything goes wrong

yes, those diets were low in calories, 1100 - 1200. In the last year, I've dieted on and off and lost a total of 15 lbs. I'm using Maximum Protein that I purchased from GNC (purest grade whey protein). It's 118 calories per scoop. My scale is a HealthOMeter digital that I bought from Sam's last year.
I had only 2 protein shakes today before meals, I feel better, but I was hungrier. Also, I'm taking GNC Mega Multi Vitamins for Women daily and fish oil, a fat burner (Lipo 6 Hers) 2 x per day and drinking regular green tea (Dean & Deluca) throughout the day. That's the run down. It depends - I used to say 5 weeks max but one guy told me he lost 72 pounds in 10 months doing this plan but then again... he was probably really overweight as well.

The best thing to do is to go off this diet every 4 weeks and go back to eating a normal amount of calories to maintain your body weight for about 2-to-3 weeks while eating these weight loss foods

Doing this keeps your metabolism from getting to low and it may help you lose more weight by tricking your body into raising it's metabolsim to burn more calories

It's not the protein that's hurting you - it has to be something else and from your responses - it seems like your 0-to-300 calorie meals are high- protein which leads to faster weight loss and...

I do have something in mind that may sound crazy to you at first but I believe it may break you out of your rut - but before I blindly give you any advice - Tell me this...

have all the diets you been on in the past been very low in calories and how much TOTAL weight have you lost in the past 6 months-to-1 year dieting

As for the protein you're using now - Don't use MRP (meal replacement) shakes that have lots of calories - make sure you're using regualr PURE whey or soy protien and when you use it...

Use the scoop that comes in the container and use only 1 scoop of protein which should be only 80-to-100 calories & make sure you eat your 0-to-300 calorie meals based on your hunger level and...

What kind of scale are you using to weigh yourself? make sure you use the same scale at the same time everyday and try to use the more accurate scales like the one's seen in doctors offices and NOT digital scales which are inaccurate

Also - How to break out of a weight loss plateau to see any of your problems can be solved there.

Just get back to me and I'll see if I can figure something out for you but keep at this plan until then.

'm going to cut back my protein drinks to twice a day instead of before each of my four meals. So far, I'm only eating raw fruits and veggies, protein drink, nuts, grains and occasional yogurt. The protein is the only thing I can think of that is responsible for the no weight lost, not even an ounce. I realized last night that I had been over measuring 1 1/2 times the powder for my drink. That has to be it, right?

I'm 5'4", 186 lbs. Could it be too much of the whey protein. I just realized I may be measuring wrong based on grams v ounces (I may have measured a little over not knowing). I'm trying really hard, I've never been so dedicated and I've done everything...weight watchers, curves, low carb...sometimes I think I'm immune to dieting...I've been working out everyday for 3 weeks. I've lost 4 lbs in that time, none this week. What's wrong with me? Maybe I'm just impatient, that's why I'm not doing your 50lb plan, there's no way I would lose at 1700 - 2300 calories, no way! I was eating 1100 per day on WW and I would only lose mere ounces per week.

thank you, thank you so much for the information you give out so generously! this is my second day and I'm finding that it's hard to eat all of the food at one time, so I feel like I'm grazing all day without set meal times. (i.e., grapefruit at 8, apple at 8:30, fiber cereal and soy milk at 9:30, etc) I also think it's hard to eat a whole meal after the veggies and whey, so I've been having nuts, or oatmeal, or yogurt and not an actual meal. Eat 0-to-300 calories after the fruits and/or veggies and whey protein depending on your hunger level (please read the first part of this plan again)

As for treadmill vs. olypitcal machine... The one that you put the most effort into is the best one that'll burn more calories but if your olypitcal machine has a part where you move the arms... then it may be better since it'll help you burn a little more calories by using more body parts

Truthfully, at your height and weight - You may not lose much weight doing any type of weight loss plan simply because you are overweight.

Listen to this... YOU LOOK FINE & you don't need to lose weight.

sorry about the double post last time.

i did marching band all through high school and this is my first year of college so i think that's where the weight came from because i've been to the doctor and i was told i'm fine.

i actually weighted myself yesterday morning and i went down to 144 so i was really happy. i think my body DOES just need some time to adjust to things since i've had a poor diet most of my life and all that needs to get out.

i was actually wondering about the soy and whey protein. i have both here but i wasn't sure if i could rotate which one i use or if it's better to just stick to one.

i just had a baby almost 6 months ago and i have lost some weight but still have some more to lose, i have been doing your diet but i can't seem to get in alot of the workouts cuz of the baby. You should be ableto lose 12 pounds in about 5-to-7 weeks following the diet plan on this page but...

Did your eating habits change? and if not - Maybe a doctor can explain why you gained weight.

Have you lost any weight lately on this diet?

Are you involved in any sports or other recreatiomnal activites that could've put on muscle?

You could be carrying around extra water weight? - Try limiting the salt (sodium) in your diet and remeber to drink lots of water + some soy protein to help flush out excess water weight (if you have any) but...

Before you try losing water weight
- Get your body fat percentage checked and stay on this plan for about 5-to-7 days longer - It could be it takes time your body to adjust to this diet before you start losing weight fast.

Is there anyway you can have your bodyfat percentage checked?

Can you tell me why or what you did to gain almost 20 pounds since last fall?

Are you or did you used to be an athlete because your body may be used to regualr exercise and to lose weight - you may have to workout more intensly than others

4 ways to quickly break out of a weight loss plateau and tell me if that helps but...

Maybe you're gaining muscle - have you noticed that you look slimer but the scale still says you haven't lost weight?

I would switch the power walking to intervals like this one or do tae-bo for 40 minutes.

Also do a morning & evening workout if you have time.

This diet is kinda of like the diet you're on now because it's a 1200-to-1800 calorie diet and to shape up and lose inches (in the sense you're talking about) - You'll be better off doing the body sculpting exercises here to lose inches and shape up your body so...

In your case (since your diet is almost similar) I wouldn't expect much of a differnece as far as weight loss goes but I will add that...

This diet may be easier to stay on since you'll never be hungry or have massive food cravings

What's your current height & weight? - People who're not really overweight can expect a slower weight loss than overweight people.

Try drinking 2-to-3 liter of ice cold water a day instead of 70 ounces

Are fruits and veggies RAW?

How intense is your exercise?

If you're not overweight - YOU have to exercise in the morning & evening

Are you very hungry even after the eating the veggies & protein?

This plan WILL work if you stay on it , read how to stay motivated to lose weight before you start this or any other weight loss plan and please realize that you're NOT that overweight (maybe 5-to-10 pounds at the most) and i'm guessing you already look good but anyway... The point is this... People who aren't overweight shouldn't or can't expect to lose lots of weight (on any kind of weight loss plan)

Whey protein won't bulk you up unless you also trying to bulk up by lifting weights and women can't bulk up like men do anyway because women have lower levels of testosterone and YEs... You can drink green tea as long as long it's the pure japanese green tea

Store bought green tea is fine also as long as it doesn't contain any extra sugar calories

Ok, heres my excersise plan: walk to school (15 min) walk back (15 min) take dog for walk (25 min) and i have a step master and an excersise bike, i do 30 mins on each. And Ill be doing an hour and a half of pilates twice a week. Im taking a vitamin B supplement to increase my metabolism, AND i signed up with a dietition (sp?) and we're gonna meet every few weeks to track my weight or whatever, and beginning april 15th (IF i can prove to them that ive stayed with a consistent diet /excersize plan) they're gonna supplement 2 meals with protein shakes, so i can only have one normal meal a day.. i told my parents, i was like, if i dont lose at LEAST 25 lbs by june 13th im not going on this trip...holy crap i typed a lot

I think it's reasonable to say you can at least drop 20-to-30 pounds by June doing this.

Are you working out for an hour and half straight?

you may want to do 20-30 minute more intense workouts (like tae-bo) 2-to-3 times a week while you can do your hour & half workouts the other days of the week and...

Your diet seems okay (make sure to drink 2-to-3 liters of water daily) and... Follow steps 1-thru -3 of this diet and...

Hello =) I'm 18 years old and I have a huge L.A trip coming up in early june, around the 13th.. i havent seen my relatives in nearly 10 years and i seriously want to lose weight.We're gonna be hitting up disney land and all that and I dont want to be so focused on my body that I cant enjoy the trip. That really all depends on how overweight you are - the more overweight you are the more likely you'll lose 20 pounds or more by May 5th and if you're at a normal weight then you may still be able to lose 10-to-20 pounds by may 5th

The whey or soy protein keeps you from not being hungry and eating so much plus it revs up your fat burning metabolsim and maintains lean muscle so...

I've never tried juicing raw veggies but I guess it depends on how much of the actually veggie gets juiced (If more than 80% of the veggie gets juiced then i guess it's okay) but I've never tried it this way and I think you'll be okay losing weight doing this so...

Personally, I don't think it's healthy for you (at 125 pounds) to lose weight but...

If you relly need to lose weight to keep your job - I have to honest with you...

It's going to be real hard for to lose weight (even with this diet) becasue you're already at a very low weight (low bodyfat) and to put it simply...

Since you don't have too much weight too lose - It's going to be very hard to lose even a little bit of weight.

My best advice would be just to try this diet plan and Read how to lose your last 10 pounds here

Let me ask you this - is it possible for you to tone up by going here to make you body look more slim even though you may gan weight doing those body sculpting exercises?

To lose that much weight in 3.5 months you would have to do this diet and 2 moderate-to-high intensity workouts a day that last for 30-to-40 minutes (one workout in the morning and another in the evening) and I recommend you do
Tae-bo or some other kind of really intense weight loss interval and even if you did that please realize...

You still may only lose at the most 30-to-40 pounds which is 2.1-2.8 pounds per week til Mid-July -

I would focus on PERMANENTLY losing 50 or more pounds by doing the same exercise plan you're on now but do the 50 pound weight loss diet instead and the reason why I say this is because...

If you don't have an emergency reason to lose weight fast (like an upcoming wedding or reunion) - then why rush your weight loss when you can just as easily lose 50 pounds or more in 5-to-8 months permanently?

Either way you choose will work fine for you - I just think in your case - the How to lose 50 pounds in 5 months plan is best for you right now.

I'm a female,5ft and 185lbs. My life has been VERY stressful and I packed on 60lbs in 7-8months especially in my abs region!! My question is do you think I can lose 20-30 lbs in 4 weeks with this program exercising 30 in the AM and 30 in PM (cardio & strength training). I also started GNC Women Active Vitamin pack which has a fat burner & energy boost with vitamins. CAN I add an AM snack if necessary? I ask this because I have long days and I know we should eat 5-6 small meals a day to keep our metabolism up and sugar on an even keel. I am about 5'2" and I weight about 150. I want to get down to 130 in about 3 1/2 weeks. I signed up for Yoga and Pilate classes 4 times a week, and I started biking and running in the morning.

My biggest problem is that alot my weight is either fat in my belly area, or big muscles in my shoulders and arms and upper back from when I was in the marines. Do you think that since I am starting my exercise Regimen with your 3-4 week plan, I can lose the 20lbs?

Is it possible that you get a bodyfat test done (by the army) to prove that you're in shape and that you don't need to lose WEIGHT and...

If that isn't possible - It may be hard for someone like you (who is muscluar) to lose 20 pounds of FAT so for you to possibly lose more FAT...

You should focus on doing the permanent fat loss plan or... look at ways to lose your last 10 pounds

Do you know what your bodyfat is? and one more suggestion I have is that you could try doing manly cardio but... You'll lose fat doing manly cardio while maintaiining the muscle you have or gaining muscle weight

Hi, I found your website a couple of days ago and it is really amazing. It has lots of facts and you really want us to loss weight. I am in high school and on your website you have a time schedule saying when to eat and what to eat at that time, which is pretty cool but I can't work out and eat at eight o' clock in the morning because I am in class. for 300 calorie meals go here: and eat just about anything you want as long as its under 300 calories but avoid sugar, sweets, fast foods, etc.

You have to be very overweight and/or very lazy to have a good chance of you 'permanently' losing 50 pounds of fat by the April and I recommend you only do this fast weight loss plan for 3-4 weeks at a time and only maybe 1 or 2 times a year so MY BEST ADVICE to you would be to...

I am about to start your program, however I have no way into town to buy the fat burner pill. Will it work to drink a cup of green tea before eating and exercising until I can get the pills? Hi! Is it ok to spread the fruit/veeggie eating trough the day, say 6 times a day or more?
(eating the same ammount) I am one of those bored=eating persons so if I can pick up a fruit more often I think it could be easier for me. Also, what should I look for in a fat burner pill? I live in South America, so product names change often from the US to my local drug store. Thanks!

it depends on how overweight you are and these other weight loss factors here

but generally - losing 100 pounds in 6 months (or 5 pounds a week) "safetly & permenently" isn't possible so to answer your question...

YES - you can lose 100 pounds in 6 months going on any fad diet but you'll either gain it all back or even worse - you'll look sick (and not toned and pretty) if you lost weight real fast on a fad diet. Read this article here to see why fad diets are a big NO NO

and NO... you probably can't permanently lose 100 pounds in 6 months unless you're really overweight and have a very low actviyt level

I dont have time to power walk in the morning so I walk/run for an hour in the afternoon, 5-6 times a week. Green tea (power tea) is a fat burner so NO... you don't need to get a fat burner and...

If your daily schedule allows you to follow this diet then - You really don't need proactol because all proactol does is suppress your appetite and block fat and...

Steps #1-3 will help suppress your appettie anyway and...

I'm not saying you wasted your money on Proactol - it will still help you lose weight faster becuase it will block some of the calories you eat and...

I really wouldnt do this diet no longer than 3-4 weeks because of the low calories you're eating - you may have a hard time staying on it longer than 6 weeks so...

So here's my story! My wedding is in a little less than a month and I would like to have a flat and firm stomach for the beach (destination wedding.) I am 110 lbs and 5'4 (5'3.5 actually.) I acknowledge that I don't need to lose weight all over but in order to get a strong stomach I need to lose the weight around my stomach-which is where I carry my weight, so to speak. How many grams do you mean when you say "one scoop" of whey or soy protein? Is this amount the same if I use textured soy protein?

I was going to start this diet plan tomorrow but my friend looked at it and told me NOT to follow it because it is a "fad diet". She says that as soon as I get off the diet, I will gain back whatever I've lost - and then some. Is this true?

Is it necessary to do the power-walking in the morning? Can I do it at some other time during the day? I work very early in the mornings and don't have much time to do anything but eat breakfast before going to work.

Hello Adrian,

this is my fourth day on this diet and i look great. I haven't change my weight yet but i do notice my new appearance. I am really happy.

When taking veggies, fruits and whey protein, i am so full. i have been drinking alot of water and constantly visiting the bathroom. i hope this is a good thing.

thank you for you diet! i hope to lose 15 Ibs at the end of my 3 week.

Hi, i just read all these comements and i want to try this,i want to lose 10pounds by april 28, and if i do it will be a dream come true, it will be hard for me to get up 4am to exercise,becoz i start work @ 6am, but i'll give it a try. NOw drink ice cold water is really hard for me but i will try that too, i drink reg green tea a lot. i don't eat food much but i eat fruit one or two a day. i have something similler to whey drink that i should take before each meals. so you think that will still work for me i will fallow the meals and exercise and drinking water?

Ok Adrian!
I'm not 140 anymore! I'm 135lbs! I guess it took my body a couple of extra days to grasp what the heck was going on! LOL...It's use to eating what it wants and not gain a thing all my life until I got hooked on these darn computer games and eating while playing all day long! We won't do that again!LOL...Thank You! 5-10 more pounds and I will be back in my nice jeans again! (smile)

the more overweight you are the more weight you'll lose on any weight loss plan.

You can expect to lose at least 15 pounds in 3 weeks or maybe more because you have more weight to lose

Can I buy Weider Ultra Whey Pro Powered drink from CVS pharmacy?? Will it work the same way? By the way, CVS also has Greentea Max for $16, which I think was another tea you recommended.

Hi, Adrain thanks for your plan I'm on day 2 and i stay full. Military weigh ins are coming up in Apr and I need to loose 20 LBS. I can't believe that if I don't loose weight my career could be on the line. I'm praying it works I am 5'7" and I weigh 237 I usually carry my weight very well but that's not the case anymore.

hi, i am a young female and have started working out for about 3 weeks now including cardio, legs, abs, and arm workouts.
i have started a diet that requires you to eat every 2 hours and drink 2 glasses of water before or after each meal. there are about 6 meals in the day including a protien pancake for breakfast , protien shake with peanut butter and skim.M
etc. however i sometimes have difficult eating all meals because i wake up late.
i want to lose the belly fat so i could be leaner and see my abs
i do cardio about 3-5X a week and strength training. my height is 5"5 and i weigh 112 i dont want to loose weight but loose body fat what would u recommend that i should start the diet you have introduced? or should i stick with my original diet plan.

the weights you use (light or heavy) will maintain what you have.

heavy weights will add more muscle bulk which you don't want.

light weights will maintain the muscle you have

if you trying to reduce (muscle) in that area - the best thing to do is nothing for your legs

Due to a certain health prob, I must lose weight. But I'm not allowed to consume protein. Is there a substitute and if not, can this diet still work for me?

Thank you,i will try the lunges and squats with lower weights, my current trainer had me doing lunges with 15 lb dumbbells on each side and heavy squats and my pants have all gotten tighter, so maybe doing these with lighter weights will tone and not bulk. Do you agree?

winter squash is fine for losing weight and you can so squats and lunges but only once a week and keep the weight light and the reps no more than 10

I love winter squash! I put it in the microwave for 5 minutes and then eat it plain. it says it has 22 carbs. in it. Will eating winter squash keep me from losing weight?
Also, will do squats and lunges with weights bulk me up, since i already have a booty and athletic legs? Should i avoid the squats and lunges? Any advice would be greatly apprecited!

Hey. I had a baby 5 months ago and I'm still about 10-15 pounds over my normal weight. I am still breastfeeding and plan to for a year. Can I do this diet while I'm nursing?

This is not true and even if you dont workout - protein will not turn into fat.

Protein helps build muscle and muscle burns fat by incresing your metabolism.

The only way protein, carbs, or fat will make you FAT is if you way too much of them.

I have heard that if you do not workout, then protein will turn into fat. I see that your plan includes drinking lots of protein, so I wanted to make sure it isn't going to have a reverse effect and make me fatter. Thanks!

I think the main reason you're not osing weight is becasue you're not eating enough. anything less than 1200 calories a day slows metabolsim and casue your body to hold onto and store fat.

I am stalled - I have lost 15 lbs this past month doing a strict, medically supervised detox flush including 90% raw foods and colonics. Worked great at the facility, now I'm back to the real world, and eating clean clean clean and working out but totally stalled! This is so frustrating, I am eating about 1000 balanced (40-30-30) calories a day plus an hour of cardio every day - what shuld I do to get things mving again, I still have 30 more lbs to go! ps I am stuck at a "set point" weight that I weighed for a long time - I gotta bust throgh this!

i have got a friend who is 25kgs overweight.the doctors have asked her to lose weight, otherwise she will have to be a diabetic patient.the problem is that we are only in 9th standard and do not know ways of losing weight,neither we have time for exercise becoz of our studies. please find a solution for this problem and let me know soon. hope u will help me out.

Hi I just stumbled upon your website and found it very useful. I need to lose about 15 to 20 lbs, I don't care how long it takes as long as its healthy. I would prefer to lose it by summer but my main goal is to maintain a new eating habit. However, my family is surrounded by unhealthy foods, we go out a lot due to bdays and other events. I have been on my diet plan for 1 week now but its not enough to show any results.

I try to do some kind of activity everyday for 30mins, i alternate between running for 30mins and lifting weights. I try to take my dog for a walk as often as possible. I usually have a bowl of special k cereal for breakfast with a large Mango for a snack. I couldn't find anything on mangoes, is that a okay fruit to eat similar to apples and oranges?

For lunch i usually have what my mom makes and have a small dinner. Will this get me anywhere?
