Get at least 6-to-8 hours of Sleep

When you don't get enough sleep the levels of leptin in your body are lowered. Leptin is a blood protein that suppresses your appetite.

With your levels of leptin being lowered due to sleep depravation...

The levels of ghrelin in your body are increased. Ghrelin is a hormone that's released in your body that makes you want to eat.

Basically, not getting more than 6 hours of sleep only increases your appetite causing you to gain weight. Try to get more than 6 hours a sleep everyday.

You can do what you're doing now to tone or firm up but you need to do any of the weight loss exercises or programs here to burn the flab

Hi Adrian,

Hope you can help.

I have this pear shape body type, with flabby thigh and calves.
The calves looks huge and flabby with no muscle. Not firm at all. It looks even worst when i wear heels.
I tried calve raises and it actually built up muscle and even look bigger so I stopped doing it.
Really appreciate if you could advise me on what kinda exercises should I do.

I am 51 and trying to loose weight. I have started on a tread mill (my 3rd wk)--how long does it take to see results? I jumped in at 30 min 5 days a week but have now increased to an advanced level (4.3 mph and now using inclines) I feel like I am gaining not loosing--HELP

I caame across your site and was amazed..I'd like to know if you ahve anything for women..I"d like to lose 25-30 lbs.and definetly tone up even bulk very little..lol..can you help me and is this doable for a 50 yr old..I presently workout 3x a wk at home..Pleaase help Im getting so confused with such much info on the net..
