ive been on extreme diets and exercise regimes before and lost alot of weight tqwo years ago i did this and got in the best shape of my life only to gain all the weight back and alot more-i am now totally miserable. Im 27 5'11 and around 86 kg (maybe abit more) i feel horrible but i can seem to find any motivation and get depressed all the time. Its ruining my life. I hate myself so much. I need help but im not sure where to start as all the old tricks i used to have for losing weight and keeping fit dont seem to motivate me any more i need help! i cant live this way-i will only get heavioer and more miserable if i keep on going like this

Well it's not me that is overweight but my brother, I am very worry about him he is 5'10 and he weighs about 230Ibs. Before he did went on a all veggie diet and jog for 4miles at the park, and losted 20Ibs when he was weighing about 240. But now he started to eat aggresively again and gain back 10IBS. What else should he do besides exercising and changing his food diet? Or he needs to do food diet, exercise, and pills at the same time? Please help !!

Im a little older than the people who have commented on this page but I need some help and I cant find it with my doctor.
Im 26 yrs old and have 4 children ages 21 month-9 yrs old.
I got hypo thyroid after my 3rd pregnancy about 4 yrs ago. I weighed 160 lbs and Im only 5' 2".
I went on a low carb diet and managed to lose up to 137 but then I had my 4th child and was still ok, only 10 over but lost it for not so much a good way (depression) So now im better and I have gained since (between the 22 months) 15lbs which I jsut cant lose. I havent changed my eating much but I have changed one thing. I go walking/jogging 2 miles every day except weekends. I have not lost 1 lb and been doing this for over 2 months now. What else can I do????

I'm 17 years old and i just stepped on the scale and it reads 106.4. I am currently 5'4. My weight is usually around 102-107. I just got done eating dinner, so i dont know if that would be correct? i know your suppose to weigh yourself in the morning, but my mother did a BMI calculator on my brother and that says hes obese. I have a hard time gaining weight, and i have a small stomach. I usually eat 2 meals a day. I cant eat 3 or i feel too stuffed. I dont snack at all either.

Someone can workout forever and have soild abs but if you have a layer of fat still on top of the abs you won't show the six-pack.
Doesn't that mean either doing more cardio or losing more weight to the abs show? I don't believe there is such thing as spot losing?

I'm a 5'8 42 yrs old male. I go to the gym about 4 to 6 days a week. Weight train and do about 40 minutes of cardio on treadmill a day.
I'm pretty toned/muscular with a medium frame. I'm at 174 pounds but still can grab about a inch of fat on the front of my lower abs at about belly button level.
I've been told I look good and a few people have said I don't need to lose anymore weight but I want sixpack abs and no lil inch of fat I can grab around the mid section.
At 42 yrs young with at my height and frame does 158 sound safe?

Hi, i wiegh 200lbs and am 44, 5'7", so yup i know i'm obese. I look horrible. However in all my years of dieting i havent wieghed less than 170. I've had 2 kids and several abdominal surgeries and have wieghed as much as 275. I have flab that no one can get rid of without surgery. According to your wieght graph, i'll be overwieght till i weigh around 150. I havent wieghed that since i was 22 yrs old with no kids. Even at my wieght i can see my ribs. I'm what you call big boned. Is there real hope for getting a good body without surgery? Can i wiegh 165 and be healthy?

I have always been pretty happy with myself, but recently I broke up with a guy who was physically and emotionally abusing me. Hi. Quite some time ago I decided it was time for me to get healthy and lose some weight. I dropped about 40 lbs with exercise and cutting calories. I still want to lose 10 lbs and tone up but no matter what I do, the weight is not coming off. I know it's not possible to spot reduce but the last of my weight is in my stomach area. I don't think you have anything to worry about because if you LOOK GOOD at your height and weight then that means you probably have a low body fat %.
Look at the pictures of the 2 guys here at the bottom of that page and you can see how if you have a low bodyfat% but weight a lot - you can still look good.
As long as you're not over 35% fat then you have nothing to worry about
