I'm trying to lose weight, but would like to know whether I should eat 3 regular meals, or 3 small meals with 3 snacks? Is there one that helps weight loss best?

I'm 20 yrs old, 5'4, about 139-140 lbs. I'm trying to lose 10 lbs of fat. I'm wondering exactly how many calories to eat each day and the amt of exercise I should perform without feeling hungry, but able to lose the weight within 6 weeks or so? I try to aim for 1760 calories per day consisting of 4 meals a day but the weight is not budging. I exercise about 3 days a week. Should I drop my calorie intake to 1609 calories and exercise 5 times per week? Will this amt cause me to binge eat later on?

This is the best site for weight loss I've EVER seen. Although I have my reservations about suggesting any sort of pills - they are not good for you and unrealistic.
Anyway before finding your site I was doing my own routine but I am seriously struggling right now and have gained back 37 pounds and have reached a whooping 213lbs. For 2 years I wrote down EVERY single thing I ate and walked (speed walked) 5 miles in the morning AND 5 miles in the evening both times up a mountain for resistance. I only lost 72 lbs. My meals were small 5 times a daily and total calories were 1200 to 1350 per day. Loaded with fruit, veggies, grains, eggs, dairy and lean meat. Cut out bread, chips, no soda, no juice, no coffee, no booze, basically the most boring person alive lol. But I just couldn't lose anymore weight and I got really frustrated. I worked SO hard and disciplined and wasn't progressing and then I stopped. It is so hard to start all over again. I want to thru hike the Appalachian Trail but and too unfit not and tired all the damned time. How will I ever be able to lose 100 lbs? It's like carrying around a whole other person night and day. I am exhausted!
